ABC's Dancing With The Stars alum JoJo Siwa reportedly made a phone call to 5-year-old fan Blakely Bergenfeld shortly before the child's surgery. JoJo Siwa appeared on Dance Moms as a child and, as an adult, made headlines as she joined Dancing With The Stars season 30 as part of the competition series' first same-sex dance couple. The former Dance Moms star is often noted as being exceptionally positive and an inspiration to many young fans. JoJo once again proves her dedication and loyalty to her fans in her most recent act of kindness.

JoJo Siwa first appeared on Dance Moms season 5 in 2015 and stayed on the popular reality series until season 6. Since appearing on Dance Moms, JoJo has amassed a tremendous following on social media platforms such as TikTok and has most recently appeared on Dancing With The Stars, where she finished in second place. JoJo made Dancing With The Stars history as being a member of the show's first same-sex pair of competitors. JoJo additionally made headlines after coming out as pansexual and has since been vocal about positive LGBTQ+ representation and other related topics.

According to TMZ, the dancer called Blakely and issued the child words of encouragement and answered questions from the fan. Blakely's parents reached out to TMZ and explained young Blakely's health situation, saying that the diagnosis came suddenly during a family ski trip. Blakely had been suffering from a series of headaches and fevers. After a trip to the pediatrician and several tests, doctors discovered that Blakely had kidney cancer. Doctors also discovered tumors in Blakely's lungs and liver. She underwent surgery to have her tumors removed on Friday, January 7 but not before superstar JoJo offered her support.

JoJo heard about Blakely's situation through Dance Moms star Kira Girard, who is noted as being a family friend of Blakely's parents. While the surgery is now complete, and Blakely is in stable condition, the 5-year-old has yet to make a complete recovery. Blakely previously wanted to meet JoJo at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in March of 2021 but was unable to do so due to circumstances regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to TMZ, JoJo offered to pay for the surgery. It is not confirmed whether or not Blakely's parents took JoJo up on the generous offer.

JoJo seems to be dedicated to being a positive influence to her fans since well before her days on Dancing With The Stars. Despite JoJo's criticisms directed at Nickelodeon for their alleged censorship, JoJo has remained committed to the youngest members of her fan base. Her continued support has been evident in interviews and on social media, but taking the time to speak with Blakely is proof that JoJo isn't all talk.
