Dancing With The Stars contestant JoJo Siwa has reportedly ended her relationship with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew. The couple met on a cruise in December 2020. JoJo first announced that she was dating Kylie on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon early in 2021. At the time, she kept Kylie's identity private, but a few weeks later, JoJo took her relationship public via Instagram.
JoJo came out as LGBTQ+ in January 2021 via Instagram and TikTok. She stated she was unsure what she identifies as but prefers pansexual or queer. Since childhood, Jojo has known she was queer and has expressed how freeing it has been to show the world who she really is. Upon coming out, JoJo gained support from celebrities like Joe Jonas, Kim Kardashian and Elton John.
JoJo and Kylie seemed to be head over heels for each other; however, a source told Us Weekly, "Jojo and Kylie did break up." The source added that JoJo's Dancing With The Stars co-stars are aware of the split. JoJo and Kylie allegedly split two weeks ago, and Kylie has since stopped attending the performances. Since her breakup with Kylie, JoJo has grown close to her Dancing With The Stars partner, Jenna Johnson. Jenna is reportedly like a big sister to JoJo. However, the source confirmed that the breakup was not related to Jenna and JoJo's friendship.
Before the news broke, fans were already speculating about a possible breakup between JoJo and Kylie due to an Instagram post on JoJo's account. Prior to Disney Week, JoJo posted a series of videos with a lengthy caption to her Instagram account. In the post, JoJo explained the challenging week she had and that she was overwhelmed with work and her personal life. JoJo added, "This week has been one of the hardest in my life for so many different reasons. It's also been one of the best." Despite the week's stress, she also expressed her gratitude and excitement for her soon-to-come performances on Dancing With The Stars.
Though it seemed JoJo and Kylie's relationship would be forever, sometimes good things come to an end. However, it looks like JoJo isn't letting a broken heart get in the way of her success. JoJo and Jenna wowed the judges during Grease night with their foxtrot to "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee (Reprise)." The pair scored four 10's and advanced to the next round. JoJo has not made a statement yet about the reports that she and Kylie have split, but being that she's just 18 and has already accomplished so much in her career, she's sure to recover.
