Dancing With The Stars finalist JoJo Siwa has revealed that TikTok star Olivia Ponton is one of the few girls she's had a crush on throughout her life. The 18-year-old Dance Moms star came out via social media in January 2021 and was publicly dating girlfriend Kylie Prew, but the pair split sometime in October. JoJo made history during DWTS season 30 when she and her dance partner Jenna Johnson became the first same-sex couple to perform on the show. Though they didn't take home the mirrorball trophy, they still made it to the final two and had a groundbreaking run on the show.

Olivia Ponton is a model and social media influencer who currently has 7.5 million TikTok followers. The star came out as bisexual in June 2021, and ironic enough, said that JoJo had inspired her to speak her truth. Olivia thinks JoJo is a role model and believes society needs to normalize coming out. The model was dating UCLA soccer player Kaila Novak, but the pair reportedly split in September, though there have been rumors they've reunited.

It turns out Olivia's role model for coming out actually had a crush on her. In an interview with E! News The RundownJoJo revealed she'd only been attracted to three girls in her life; her ex-girlfriend Kylie, a TikToker, and actress Jenna Dewan. When a producer asked if JoJo would share who the TikTok star was, the Nickelodeon star revealed, "Her name's Olivia Ponton, she's gorgeous, she's awesome, she's really cool, and she's so nice too, which is something that I really appreciate in people."

JoJo also discussed the misconception many people have when women come out. The star explained that many people think that when a woman says she's a lesbian, it means she's attracted to every woman she sees. JoJo explained that this is not the case since she's only been attracted to a few women in her life. JoJo explained, "I have maybe been like oh wow that girl's really pretty or oh wow that girl's really hot for like three people." When asked about childhood crushes, JoJo stated if she had allowed herself to be gay as a child, she would've had a crush on Miley Cyrus.

It's incredible to see the younger generation freely expressing their sexuality without shame and incredibly ironic to see that JoJo was actually an inspiration for the girl she had a crush on. Olivia and JoJo are both changing the game, not just on social media or DWTS but all over the world. It seems the younger generation is unwilling to hide their authentic selves, and it's a beautiful evolution to witness. JoJo and Olivia surely have a lot to be proud of, inspiring the new generation to be themselves. Being different in society hasn't always been celebrated, but because of the increase of brave stars speaking their truth, children and young adults everywhere dare to do the same.
