After news of Gleb Savchenko and Elena Samodanova’s divorce broke, rumors of an affair between Gleb and Chrishell Stause from Dancing with the Stars emerged. However, Gleb has denied having any romantic relationship with his celebrity partner.

Gleb Savchenko and Elena Samodanova got married in 2006. During their 14 years of marriage, the pro ballroom dancers became the parents of two daughters, Olivia and Zlata. At the beginning of November, they announced their divorce, and nasty cheating allegations from Elena soon followed. The affair rumors were targeted at Gleb’s DWTS partner, Chrishell Stause. The Selling Sunset star initially reacted to the married couple’s breakup and cheating rumors, “I am so saddened about the news of Gleb and Elena's split. It is unfortunate that this has caused rumors to swirl about my personal life. Having gone through a public split myself, I would not wish this on anyone.” Of course, Stause was referring to her recent divorce from This Is Us star, Justin Hartley. Chrishell added, “As you can imagine, the countless hours of training, and dance rehearsals has created a strong supportive friendship, but nothing more.” Now, Gleb has also responded to his ex-wife’s cheating allegations.

On November 6, the pro ballroom dancing couple announced their divorce over social media. Shortly after this occurrence, Elena made allegations that Gleb has cheated on her with his DWTS partner, Chrishell. “After 14 years of marriage, and multiple affairs, I've decided enough is enough. Gleb and I have created a family and multiple businesses together. But apparently, it just wasn't enough to keep our marriage strong. Gleb's ongoing infidelity and a recent inappropriate relationship has created turmoil in our marriage and absolutely torn our family apart,” Elena claimed, as reported by E Online. “Last night was the final straw, and I can no longer turn my head the other way. My trust in Gleb is irrevocably broken and it is time that I walk away and begin to heal so I can be the best version of myself for my girls,” Samodanova added. The next day, Gleb responded to Elena’s statement and allegations: “While I will continue to respect the privacy of my family, I will not stand by and allow false accusations and internet rumors go unaddressed. My relationship with Chrishell was and remains strictly platonic. Our friendship during our season on DWTS was not the reason for our split. Elena and I have had long standing issues in our marriage. This has been an ongoing situation between Elena and I paired with poor timing,” Savchenko stated. “It was my deepest hope to keep our private life just that: Private. I am saddened and disappointed to see that Elena has chosen not to do the same.”  See Gleb's initial Instagram post about his split below:

Last week, Gleb and Chrishell performed a Viennese Waltz to Love on the Brain by Rihanna. They scored 24 points out of 30 for their sultry dance. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep Savchenko and Stause in the competition, as they were eliminated that evening. Celebrity competitors Johnny Weir, Nelly, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Skai Jackson, Justina Machado, AJ McLean, and Nev Schulman (and their pro partners) are still in the competition.

The ending of a relationship can bring out the worst in people. In this “he said she said” controversy, it's possible that Elena is upset about her marriage ending and is using cheating allegations to get back at her ex-husband. Since Chrishell and Gleb’s responses are calm and professional, it seems like they’re being honest about their relationship during the Dancing with the Stars competition. Hopefully, the private details about Gleb and Elena’s divorce won't be in the press anytime soon.
