Tyra joined the series during season 29 after the original host Tom Bergeron was fired for disagreeing with producers who cast former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on the show. Sadly, Tyra was not welcomed by fans with open arms, and they've been complaining about her hosting skills and interactions with contestants since she joined the series.Last season, DWTS fans accused Tyra of being extra with her many costume changes; they even compared one of her outfits to a dinosaur from Jurassic Park. They also disliked what she wore for Britney Spears night and felt like she was trying to be the center of attention on the show. Another criticism the DWTS host received was that she was disrespectful to contestants by talking over them, especially during elimination. Fans felt she didn't allow contestants to say their proper goodbyes when being voted off the show. DWTS Fans Are Grateful For Alfonso Ribeiro
Fans also expressed their excitement that since Alfonso Ribeiro is co-hosting the season, Tyra doesn't get to talk as much. Viewers noticed that Tyra has messed up quite a few times this season, including reading the leaderboard incorrectly and then blaming it on technical difficulties. They also think she's already being disrespectful to contestants, calling her out for telling Charli D'Amelio in front of all the judges that she expected her to be a bratty TikTok girl and was surprised by how kind she was.
Tyra just can't win when it comes to DWTS fans. At least they're happy about one thing, though Tyra may not be necessarily pleased. The former America's Next Top Model host has a huge personality, and she loves to express it through fashion. It wouldn't be surprising if she finds a way to incorporate costume changes into the show later in the season. Now that she has a cohost, Alfonso can easily take over while she switches into another outfit. Though if she does decide to do this, she shouldn't expect any praise from DWTS fans.
