Disney+ Night is going to be taking over the Dancing With The Stars ballroom this week. In years past this theme night was simply Disney Night. However, now that DWTS has moved from ABC to the streaming service Disney+, things are different. Season 31 marks the first time a live show has aired on a streaming service.

With the change in where the show airs, came a few different changes to the layout of the show as well. The biggest change was the loss of commercial breaks, which ultimately affects the set changes. In an effort to adjust to this major change the show brought on Alfonso Ribeiro as a co-host for Tyra Banks. The sky box has also made a return for post-performance interviews.

DWTS Disney+ Night Will Highlight Streaming Content

Following the conclusion of James Bond Night last week, Alfonso announced that the next theme night will be DIsney+ Night. While DWTS fans are used to Disney Night taking over the ballroom once a season, Disney+ Night is new to the show. It is the same concept as Disney Night, but the new theme night will veer away from the traditional Disney movies to feature more of the content available on the streaming service. While some classic Disney movies will be portrayed, some non-traditional movies will be a part of the show as well.

The Disney+ Night songs, as well as the dance styles, were all released following James Bond Night last week. Classic movies such as Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast will not be featured this year. Instead, new additions to the DWTS theme night will include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well as Hamilton and The Simpsons, all of which are featured on Disney+. More classic Disney movies that will be seen on this week's episode include Cars, Hercules, and The Princess and The Frog.

Although the DWTS season 31 Disney Night will veer away from portraying some of fans' favorite Disney classics, there is no doubt the couples will still bring some amazing performances to the ballroom. Nearly all of the stars have been given songs that they relate to on some level, which typically makes for a better performance. This year DWTS fans are surely in for a show.

Dancing With The Stars' Disney+ Night will air on Monday, October 10 on Disney+.
