Dancing With The Stars professional dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov announced that they are expecting their first baby together. Daniella and Pasha got married in July 2014 after four years of dating. Before they became a couple, they were dance partners who won multiple international competitions. They appeared on World Of Dance season 2 before they joined DWTS. Daniella got her start as a troupe member in DWTS season 28 in 2019 and was promoted to professional dancer the following season, placing third with Nelly. The following season, she won the Mirrorball Trophy with her partner Iman Shumpert. Pasha also began his time on the reality competition show with DWTS season 28, where he was partnered with Kate Flannery and placed seventh. In DWTS season 31, Daniella and Pasha competed against each other with their partners Joseph Baena and Teresa Giudice, placing 11th and 15th, respectively.
In an Instagram post, Daniella announced her pregnancy with Pasha. She wrote, "Baby Pashkov coming May ’23. We love you more than words could ever express." In an interview with People, Daniella explained that she and Pasha have wanted a family ever since they got married eight-and-a-half years ago, "so we are more than ready to have a baby." Daniella revealed that they wanted to start planning this year, "and it just so happened that the timing was absolutely perfect. I actually found out I was pregnant on [DWTS season 31's] premiere day." Daniella said that her DWTS season 31 partner Joseph did not know that she was pregnant, but "he's a sweetheart, and he really was super gentle with me, although he didn't know." Daniella shared that she experienced "no nausea since day one" of her pregnancy. She explained that her body is so used to dancing and being active that if she stops, it is too much of an extreme for her. She said that it was refreshing that her doctor told her that her dancing is healthy for the baby. Daniella and Pasha revealed that they told their DWTS co-stars about the baby before the finale.

Daniella and Pasha plan to find out their baby's sex over Thanksgiving. She revealed, "Pasha and I really want a girl, but as long as the baby's healthy, that's all we really care about." When it comes to parenthood, Daniella thinks that it will "come second nature to us. I cannot wait to watch Pasha become a dad because he is unreal with kids. There's no anxiety. There's no stress. I feel a sense of calmness. The baby is going to change our life only for the better." Although the couple will not be participating in the upcoming DWTS tour in order to get ready for the baby, they do plan to return to DWTS three months after Daniella gives birth. Pasha said, "On one hand, we cannot wait already to meet this baby, but on the other hand, we want to enjoy this journey. The baby's going to be born into so much love and care." Daniella added, "We're probably going to suffocate the kid with love, and they're going to be so annoyed with us kissing them all the time. There's just so much love to give, and I cannot wait to finally give it to a little baby."
Daniella and Pasha join several other DWTS professional dancers who have announced their pregnancies this year. Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, and Jenna Johnson, who is married to Val Chmerkovskiy, are all currently expecting babies as well. Jenna sat out DWTS season 31 because she is pregnant with their first baby. Lindsay, who took a break from DWTS to focus on her family, found out she was pregnant with her second child during the season. Witney announced that she is expecting her second baby during the DWTS semifinals episode. The DWTS family is very close-knit, so Daniella and Pasha's baby will certainly be surrounded by a lot of love.
