Christine Chiu sustained an injury during her first week of Dancing With The Stars rehearsals. The Bling Empire personality's wildest dreams came true when ABC producers cast her on DWTS season 30. Since then, Christine has been busy studying the art of dance and convincing her yet-to-be-announced partner to train her body to perform the flashy, impressive and difficult moves that DWTS viewers begin to see the stars accomplish later in the season.

Christine was just one of the many reality stars announced to compete this season. Others include The Bachelor's Matt James, WWE superstar and reality TV personality Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore. ABC leveled up this year's talent pool with a few more A-list castings, including 21-year-old beauty influencer Olivia Jade and Beverly Hills 90210 alum Brian Austin Green, who is currently dating pro dancer Sharna Burgess. Others include Spice Girls' Mel C, country music star Jimmie Allen, beloved Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby, The Bold Type's Melora Hardin, NBA athlete Iman Shumpert, The Karate Kid's Martin Kove and The Talk's Amanda Kloots, who used to dance on Broadway and even worked her way to becoming one of the Radio City Rockettes.

With Dancing With The Stars season 30 about to premiere, Christine revealed exclusively to Screen Rant that she already dislocated one of her ribs during practice. Reflecting on the moment of pain, Christine blames "old age" and little-to-no exercise throughout the global pandemic. "Old age is what happened to me and pandemic hibernation when you don't exercise for a good year and a half," the co-founder of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery said. "I was a little too excited and ambitious. I was pushing for those crazy moves that I've watched for so many years on the stage, and [my DWTS partner] was going along with it, but then my rib snapped." Thankfully, the injury isn't pushing the reality star away from living out her dreams. Christine explained that her partner just re-choreographed their debut routine so she could still perform the entire number despite the new injury.

The whirlwind experience convinced Christine that ABC producers matched her with the perfect pro. "I think he was definitely specifically chosen for my needs and struggles because he's incredibly patient," she said, adding that his way of teaching differs from her ballet past. Growing up, Christine found it difficult to work with ballet instructors as they often used criticism for motivation. Now Christine's pro is making her fall in love with dance all over again as he uses positive affirmations to keep her head up and confidence high even when she "looks like a disaster." Christine added that her pro is always there to encourage her.

Despite Christine's injury, the Netflix star will provide Dancing With The Stars viewers with nothing less than an entertaining performance. Christine has adored the show since its debut season and has been manifesting winning that coveted Mirrorball Trophy since then. Now it's time for Christine to put her childhood dance skills to the test when she makes her debut during the show's season 30 premiere.

Dancing With The Stars premieres September 20 at 8pm on ABC.
