This year, season 11's Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe, began her journey as a contestant on the 29th season of Dancing With The Stars, making her the third Bachelorette ever to compete on the show. Over the years, there have been almost ten Bachelor Nation contestants on the show, with four Bachelors and several other fan favorites from the Bachelor franchise. The two Bachelorettes to grace DWTS before Kaitlyn were Trista Sutter and Hannah Brown.

Trista Sutter was the first Bachelorette in the franchise's history, and she also competed on the first season of DWTS back in 2005. She was partnered with pro-dancer Louis van Amstel. She scored sixes across the board from the judges for her first Waltz. In the second week of the show, she scored two 6s and a 7 from the judges for her Rumba, and became the first contestant eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. In the first season of DWTS, there were only 6 teams, so she and Louis placed 6th.

Over a decade later, season 15's Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, competed on DWTS with pro-dancer Alan Bersten in 2019. Hannah had some dance training as a child, but actually said that some of her ballet training made it harder to pick up certain ballroom dances. After an emotional run on the show, Hannah went on to win the 28th season of DWTS and take home the Mirrorball. She scored two 7s and a 6 on her first dance, but showed improvements each week, and began regularly scoring 9s and 10s each dance. Her last finale performance was her highest score, with her first perfect 30 for her Freestyle dance. She was a frontrunner throughout the competition, and with the support of at-home voters, she became the first Bachelorette to win DWTS, as reported by CNN.

Kaitlyn Bristowe has said that she was offered a spot on DWTS five years ago, but was kept from competing by  Bachelorette creator Mike Fleiss. She explained that Fleiss's influence could be one of the reasons there have been more Bachelors than Bachelorettes who competed on the show. After her season was aired earlier this year as a part of The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever, Chris Harrison asked her to join season 29 of Dancing With The Stars and she happily accepted.

With a ballet dancing background, she has proved herself to be a frontrunner, but the judges think she is lacking some emotional connection to her dances. She just scored her first perfect score for her Argentine Tango with partner Artem Chigvintsev. If she continues to improve as Hannah did last season, she may make it all the way to being the second Bachelorette to win the Mirrorball.
