Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is showing off some serious muscle by carrying several Saturday Night Live cast members on his shoulders in a video to promote his upcoming hosting gig. Johnson is arguably the hardest working actor in the movie business, which perhaps explains why he's becoming one of the biggest box draws in the world in the last couple of years - with such blockbuster smashes as Furious 7, Moana and most recently, The Fate of the Furious. He's always engaging in interviews and shows boundless enthusiasm promoting his upcoming projects, which includes the May 25 release of his R-rated Baywatch movie, where he orchestrated a slow motion marathon for fans to participate in.

In another effort to build anticipation for the action comedy's release, Johnson has taken on hosting duties for SNL for the comedy series' season finale. Showing fans his rock-hard strength, Johnson carries not one, not two, but 13 cast members on his back, along with two others bracing his legs.

In the SNL promo video, released by the show Wednesday, we first meet Johnson as he's being carried across SNL's main stage at Studio 8H by cast member Beck Bennett. With Johnson quipping to Bennett, "I've got to  save his strength to host the show, man -- five times now," the SNL cast member almost immediately gives up and drops the host off his shoulders. Telling Bennett to get on his shoulders, Johnson next says, "You guys, I'm always here for you and I always got your backs," before cutting to a wide shot showing how the actor has the cast hoisted up on his shoulders. As if that isn't enough, Johnson shows he is completely willing to meet a tasty demand by SNL star Leslie Jones.

Thanks to unique ideas like the "I got your backs" video, it's easy to see with Johnson's effervescent personality and gift of natural charm why he's embraced so much by moviegoers. The great thing is, the former WWE star has a lot more movies in store after what promises will be a “far dirtier” Baywatch, including Jungle Cruise, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Rampage, Shazam! (and a Black Adam solo movie), as well as plans for a Fast and Furious spinoff featuring the actor and Jason Statham's characters.

And while Johnson seems to pull off the Herculean task of carrying the cast members on his shoulders (he only played Hercules before, he isn't Hercules), the fun suspension of disbelief is so entertaining that you can't help but wonder if SNL will ask Johnson back to host the show for every movie he stars in.
