Dwayne Johnson has a funny reaction to NFL star Joe Burrow mimicking his famous fanny pack look before the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback's most recent gane. The WWE star-turned-actor is coming off a strong 2021, which he started off with Disney's action-adventure Jungle Cruise. After a brief cameo in Free Guy, The Rock closed out the year with the star-studded caper Red Notice alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot that quickly climbed to the top of Netflix's all-time viewing chart. Johnson also appeared in an NBC sitcom, Young Rock, based on his own life.

Despite the pandemic, Johnson clearly kept busy throughout 2021 and he's showing no signs of slowing down. He'll kick off 2022 by voicing Krypto the Superdog in DC League of Super-Pets, followed by his highly-anticipated debut as the anti-hero Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe. Though Johnson is arguably one of the biggest box office draws at the moment, he has been getting more involved in streaming lately. Following Red Notice for Netflix, he will star in the holiday action movie Red One for Amazon, which just cast Chris Evans in a lead role.

But when Johnson isn't making headlines for his movies, he manages to stay relevant in other ways, maintaining a solid presence on social media. He recently reacted to Burrow copying his famous fanny pack look from a throwback picture that went viral years ago. Burrow was seen wearing a similar black turtleneck and chain to the ones seen in the photo. The Rock, who played college football at the University of Miami but never reached the NFL level, penned a nice note to the second-year QB in his post. Check it out below:

Burrow and the Bengals took on the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship game this past Sunday, defeating them to move on to the Super Bowl. Though many believe Burrow won the day before he even stepped onto the field, as he was seen rocking The Rock's iconic look before the game. Fans of the WWE superstar know that Johnson posted the fanny pack photo of his younger self online years ago for Throwback Thursday, and it has lived on through various memes and pictures of others replicating the look.

Burrow has also garnered plenty of attention for his fashion choices, though it's unclear if he purposefully meant to reference The Rock's throwback look, or if it was merely a coincidence. Nevertheless, it was nice of Dwayne Johnson to reach out to the young QB and congratulate him on his first AFC Championship. Super Bowl LVI will take place on February 13 and will hopefully feature looks at upcoming franchise films like Jurassic World: Dominion, Doctor Strange 2, and maybe even The Rock's own Black Adam.
