Wizards of the Coast has revealed that the next crossover between Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering is Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos, which is due to be released in November. Strixhaven debuted in the Strixhaven: School of Mages set, which was released in April.

It took a long time for D&D and Magic: The Gathering to officially crossover. Wizards of the Coast bought the previous owners of D&D in '97, but the first Magic: The Gathering sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons was Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica, which was released in 2018. This was followed by Mythic Odysseys of Theros in 2020. These books allowed D&D players to hold campaigns in different planes that were introduced in Magic: The Gathering, with Ravnica consisting of a massive city ruled by ten guilds, while Theros was a realm inspired by Greek Mythology.

According to Wizards of the Coast, the next D&D and Magic: The Gathering crossover book is Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos, which is due to be released on November 16, 2021. The book will allow DMs to set their game in Strixhaven University, which is considered to be the greatest school of sorcery in the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. Once students complete their first year of study, they join one of the five colleges, which are named after the dragons that founded the school. The colleges are Lorehold, the school of researchers and adventurers; Prismari, the school of arts and elementalism; Quandrix, the school of the maths magicians; Silverquill, the school where words are wielded as weapons; and Witherbloom, the school where the students learn how to control life itself.

Players will have a chance to test out the skills of the Strixhaven students later today. Wizards of the Coast plans on releasing a new Unearthed Arcana article today that will add Mages of Strixhaven subclasses to the game. In the past, Unearthed Arcana article offered hints at the next book in the pipeline, with many fans guessing that the mystery fae races from recent materials meant that a Feywild book was on the way, which turned out to be The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. Wizards of the Coast Senior communications manager Greg Tito confirmed that one of the reasons why Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos has been revealed so early is because it would be impossible to hide the true purpose of the Unearthed Arcana playtest material from the fans.

Wizards of the Coast hasn't revealed many details about Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaosbut it has promised that more information will be announced at the upcoming D&D Live 2021, which will take place from July 16-17. The book will give Magic: The Gathering fans the chance to live out their Hogwarts adventures, but knowing most Dungeons & Dragons players, it might look a lot more like Animal House with Wizards.
