Jill Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting revealed that she wrote a tell-all book that will be released after Amazon's Shine Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Jill also took part in the docuseries, shading her family's legacy. She has been one of the most outspoken members of her family and has even blasted The Institute in Basic Life Principles.

The fourth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Jill announced that she will be sharing her family's dirty secrets in a new tell-all book titled Counting The Cost. On the eve of the Amazon documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which is about the Duggar family, Jill and Derick took to their Instagram pages to announce that they penned a book that will reveal what it was like for Jill to grow up in such a strict environment.

The book, which Gallery Books is publishing, is ready for pre-order and will be released on January 16, 2024. The only family member to show their support for the book is Jill's cousin, Amy Duggar King.

Jill shared in her lengthy social media post that the book will concentrate on her "painful" journey as part of 19 Kids And Counting, which made her family famous. The book is meant to reflect the couple's hope for better days ahead. Jill noted she and Derick have dealt with a "lack of respect," secrecy, and lies for most of their married lives. Jill will touch on boundaries that Jim, Bob, and Michelle crossed, as well as the family's greed and "betrayal." Jill notes that "God has begun to heal" the couple's wounds.

Jill married Derick Dillard in 2014. Ironically, Jim Bob hand-picked the Arkansas missionary to meet his daughter but has since soured on their relationship. During the documentary, viewers will learn that Jim Bob walked her down the aisle, but only hours before, he tricked her into signing another TV contract. The couple had moved to El Salvador to start 10 months of volunteer work, which put a strain on Jill's relationship with the rest of the Duggar clan.

Jill has been a one-woman force against her family for years, as she has done many things to show her rebellious side. Not only has the Shiny Happy People star had her nose pierced, but she has also sent her son to public school and begun wearing pants. Choosing to write a tell-all about her family was pure genius, as the announcement coincides with the release of the much-anticipated documentary. It is safe to say that Jim Bob and Michelle will not be pleased or liking their daughter's post.
