The fan believes it all starts with The Croods. From this point, the humans and animals all evolve in different ways.

The first part of the timeline consists of The Shrek series and How To Train Your Dragon movies. The middle part includes films like Antz, Bee Movie and Shark Tale. The timeline ends with Monsters vs. Aliens, Mr. Peabody and Sherman and the Kung Fu Panda films. The timeline actually makes a lot of sense and might be true after all.

19 TOOTHLESS IS EVIL

There's one thing that's for certain when it comes to dragons. Training a dragon can be very dangerous. Luckily for Hiccup, he becomes good friends with his dragon. They look out for each other and are the best of friends. Well, one fan has a different take on it.

In fact, this fan's theory proposes that Toothless is evil. In How To Train Your Dragon, Hiccup's injured and loses the lower half of his leg in a fire. However, this fan believes that Toothless bites off the leg. It suggests it was his plan all along. He's simply an evil dragon that always planned on injuring Hiccup.

18 THE CROODS TAKES PLACE IN THE FUTURE

The Croods 2 pushed to 2018

Most fans assume The Croods takes place in the pre-historic caveman era. In fact, they seem like cavemen from millions of years ago. However, fans have another theory it could be. What if the events are happening in our future?

The theory proposes that humans began genetic splicing. Soon it gets out of control and spreads like a virus. The world nearly comes to an end. This explains the hybrid animals and dimwitted cavemen. Instead of evolving the humans went in reverse. This would help explain a lot about the film and the backstory. It does change the movie as it becomes more like The Walking Dead.

17 MIGUEL AND TULIO ARE GODS

The Road To Eldorado follows two con artists Miguel and Tulio. The people of Eldorado mistake the two for gods. Of course, they're just two normal men pulling off a con. On the other hand, some fans have other ideas. In fact, most fans believe that they really are gods. For instance, at one point Tulio becomes very stressed out and causes supernatural events.

It ceases when Tulio yells "Stop". Also, they're able to defeat a jaguar in battle. At the end of the film, they're both able to speak with animals as well. Most fans assume only gods can talk to animals. There's a good chance this fan has the right idea. In fact, they might be onto something.

16 SPACE DAD IS METRO MAN'S FATHER

Like all supervillains, Megamind wishes to rid the world of his rival Metro Man. Unlike most villains, Megamind succeeds. He soon realizes he's nothing without a superhero to battle. He tries creating a hero but it backfires. Later, he attempts to convince Metro Man to return. Megamind has the ability to look like other people. He has to scan the person's image first.

When he goes to Metro Man he becomes Space Dad. This is the only one that's not a real person. However, this theory suggests that Space Dad is Metro Man's real father. This would explain why he becomes Space Dad. This also means that at some point Megamind scanned his father.

15 SHREK GOT RID OF THE OTHER OGRES

Shrek might seem like a scary ogre but he's really a gentle giant. It teaches kids not to judge people on their looks. However, this fan theory changes the film forever. In fact, it'll ruin fond childhood memories for all.

In the first film, Shrek's the last of the ogres. The only other ogre's a human that turns into one. Since Shrek's the only one that brings up an important question. Where are the other ogres? There are many theories out there but this one might be possible. This fan believes that Shrek got rid of the ogres. They mocked him so he went crazy and disposed of them all. Now he's the last remaining ogre.

14 THE BEES ARE TIME LORDS

At first glance, this seems like a theory that won't make sense. However, this theory makes some very good points. This suggests that the Bee Movie bees are Time Lords from Doctor Who. Like the Tardis, the hive's bigger on the inside. In fact, it includes schools and highways.

The start of the movie established that Bees can't fly. Regardless, they fly away in front of humans all the time. That's because they don't care what humans think. Time Lords have a similar outlook on humans. Also, the Bees actually speak an alien language but appear to be speaking English. Like the Tardis, the Bee Hive translates for them. It might be hard to believe this theory but it's possible.

13 THE PENGUINS HAVE THE SOULS OF WORLD WAR II SOLDIERS

It's common for animals to display human traits in DreamWorks movies. However, they never explain why they're like humans. Well, that just means fans have more work to do. Indeed, they come up with some wild ideas. To be fair, this might makes a whole lot of sense.

This theory suggests the Penguins of Madagascar have the souls of World War II soldiers. It suggests that each character shows traits of WWII soldiers. In fact, both Skipper and Private's name are clearly army names. Indeed, the movie contains many army references.

12 SHREK TAKES PLACE IN A POST-APOCALYPTIC FUTURE

Shrek and Donkey

It might seem like the Shrek movies take place centuries ago. There are kings, queens, and even a dragon. All signs point to the medieval era. Well, Shrek fans have another theory. It suggests that Shrek takes place in the future after a nuclear war. It nearly destroys the planet but some survive.

For instance, Shrek was once a normal looking human. However, the fallout caused human's skin to turn green and evolved into Shrek overtime. Also, this helps explain the talking animals. The fallout gives animals the power to talk. At the same time, it also explains the magic. It's not really magic but more fallout for the bombs.

11 BIBO AND ALTIVO ARE GODS

As noted, Road To Eldorado follows two con artists posing as gods. Since the release fans research and debate the film. They've come up with some interesting theories. Fans are certain there's a god or two in the movie. Most fans believe that the armadillo Bibo's the god. There are many examples that support this.

For instance, he leads the guys through the jungle maze and saves them from danger. At one point, a volcano's about to erupt and Tulio yells "Stop". It seems he's got the power to control it. However, Bibo's also there so it might be him that stops it. In addition, it suggests that the horse Altivo's also a god. Both gods have come to aid the guys on their journey.

10 TIM IMAGINES BOSS BABY

It's common for kids to be jealous of a new sibling. In fact, kids who are the firstborn sometimes struggle with a new brother or sister. In Boss Baby, Tim meets his new little brother but he's no normal baby. His little brother's actually the Boss Baby.

One fan theory suggests Tim's creating the Boss Baby in his head. Tim shows that he has a wild imagination that he lets run free. Tim's jealous of his new sibling so he creates Boss Baby to deal with it. It's also possible that he's telling his daughter a story to comfort her in the future. In the end, she meets her new sibling for the first time as well.

9 CROODS IS A SEQUEL TO ICE AGE AND A PREQUEL TO THE FLINTSTONES

The Croods Still

Fans theories are getting more and more complex. In fact, one fan connected Croods to two classic franchises. First, it suggests that Croods is a sequel to Ice Age. Both movies are similar in style and tone. Also, Crood's Belt and Ice Age's Scrat share similarities as well. Second, it suggests that Croods is a prequel to The Flintstones.

In Croods, Guy's not like the rest of the cavemen and is more like a human. Guy did things the cavemen never thought of. For instance, he keeps animals as pets and uses a shell as a phone. At the end of the film, Guy and the Croods create a paradise. The theory suggests this small paradise could turn into the town of Bedrock.

8 GINGER'S THE ROGUE CHICKEN IN ORANGE IN THE NEW BLACK

It might seem impossible but one theory connects Chicken Run to Orange is the New Black. It even makes some sense. In Chicken Run, Ginger finally escapes the coup and breaks free. Her time in the coup is similar to life in Litchfield Penitentiary. At the end of the film, she ends up at a large field with the grass beneath her feet. This theory suggests that Ginger ends up near the prison.

She enters it one day because it reminds her of her time in the coup. However, she ends up trapped in there too. In Orange is the New Black, there's a myth about a rogue magical chicken running around. Nobody's ever caught it or sure they saw it. According to this theory, Ginger is the rogue magical chicken running around the prison.

7 SHARK TALE AND ZOOTOPIA SHARE THE SAME UNIVERSE

Nowadays, it's common for movies to crossover with each other. This theory suggests that DreamWorks and Disney have a minor connection. In Shark Tale, the sharks have come together to rule over the sea. The sharks, fish and other sea creatures show human traits. Indeed, they live like humans just under the sea.

In Zootopioa, the animals have evolved and lived like humans as well. As a matter of fact, there appear to be no humans in either film. In Zootopia, the sea's still a mystery and the unknown although it does seem as evolved. It's possible that under the water is the world of Shark Tale. In fact, they might be in the same universe after all.

6 MADAGASCAR'S ALL IN THE ANIMAL'S MINDS

Madagascar 2

The world of Madagascar's magical and unreal. The animals walk, talk and crack jokes. In this case, humans and animals live in the same world. In fact, the animals first live at the zoo. Of course, they end up leaving and going on quite the journey.

This theory suggests that none of what's happening is real, instead, it's all happening in the animal's minds. They're just ordinary animals at the zoo that people come to see. They live a normal and pretty boring life. Every day people come to see them. To the humans, they appear to just be animals. There's nothing else going on with them. The animals make it all up in their minds.

5 TROLLS HAS A DEEPER MEANING

Trolls follow two trolls on a mission to protect their village from the Bergens. Turns out the Bergens love to eat trolls. It's a sweet kids movie about the ultimate underdog. Well, some fans think there's a deeper meaning in the movie.

The theory suggests Trolls includes a message about staying away from substances. The Bergens seem to have an unhealthy obsession with trolls. They just can't stop eating them. There's a chance this theory's correct. Kids movies often include a deeper message. In this case, it warns about the dangers of drugs and addiction. This theory might end up being right after all.

4 DONKEY WAS ONCE A HUMAN

Without a doubt, Shrek's Donkey is a popular character. In fact, there isn't a person who doesn't know Donkey. However, fans know very little about his backstory. Fans have come up with some interesting theories. This theory suggests that Donkey was once a human. There are several fairy tale characters in the movie. They're all rounded up including Donkey. Fans believe this means Donkey's part of a fairy tale.

In Pinocchio, boys go to Pleasure Island and can do whatever they like. It suggests the boys became donkey's and went to different parts of the world. When Donkey and Puss switch bodies, Donkey remarks it takes time to adjust to the body. This suggests he wasn't always a donkey. It's possible he was once a boy who ended up on Pleasure Island.

3 DREAMWORKS LOGO BOY IS DAVID FROM A.I.

In 1994, Steven Spielberg c0-founded DreamWorks. At the same time, he was working on A.I. Artificial Intelligence. The film was in developmental hell for years before Spielberg took over directing. In A.I., an android David searches for the Blue Fairy and it grants him a wish. He falls asleep and has his first dream.

This theory suggests that the DreamWorks logo is David's dream. He dreams of sitting on the moon fishing. This theory makes a lot of sense since Spielberg came up with the logo. At the time he was working on both the studio and film. It's possible that he put in that little connection.

2 BARRY BENSON IS FREDDIE BENSON'S FATHER

It seems unlikely but this theory suggests Bee Movie and iCarly share the same universe. In Bee Movie, a bee Barry Benson falls in love with a human woman, Vanessa. This theory suggests Freddie Benson's mother is Vanessa. That means Barry's his father and he has a little bee in him. It seems like a silly idea but it might be true after all.

Actor Nathan Kress portrays Freddie in the show. He came across the theory and confirmed it. He's likely joking but it could be true. The mother and Vanessa do look similar. There's a chance that he's half bee after all. This theory might not be right but its fun to think about.

1 HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON CHRONICLES THE EARLY DAYS OF THE TARGARYEN DYNASTY

Obviously, How To Train Your Dragon and Game of Thrones has dragons in common. In fact, they play a big part in both. One theory suggests Hiccup is an ancestor of the Targaryens. In How To Train Your Dragon, it's in an isolated part of the world where dragons roam free.

However, dragons are either for hunting or capturing. Hiccup's the first one to tame a dragon. In Game of Thrones, Targaryen's keep dragons as pets as well. In fact, they conquer the Seven Kingdoms using their dragons. Hiccup's the first in the family line and first to tame a dragon.
