Some creations in the PlayStation exclusive Dreams have become nearly photo-realistic in a very short time. Media Molecule's Dreams released in February to rave reviews from critics, with many citing the game's "creation suite" as one of the best and most accessible software development kits in the world, especially for younger players. In the short time since release, gamers have enjoyed access to thousands of user created "dreams" and the results continue to speak for themselves.

Many of the more popular dreams that were created by users involve the use of copyrighted intellectual properties. Just recently, a Dreams user's Super Mario character model was copyright stricken and moderated by Nintendo. Elsewhere in the "Dreamverse," users are recreating popular IP's with their own signature touch, just like one player did with Avatar: The Last Airbender. But there's also plenty more going in Dreams, including creations both original and adapted. Now it seems like some users are starting to maximize the possibilities of what's graphically possible within Dreams.

Dreams creator @BRobo82 has shared his latest impressive creation with the world, via Twitter. At this point, it seems that his "walking simulator" creation is still a work in progress, but the technical achievement of the graphics are astounding. More than a few people on the internet have expressed amazement at the fact that the creation was a part of Dreams and not a real-life photograph. @BRobo82 has been working on this project for some time, and has posted their progress of the development throughout. Check out the video below:

Perhaps the most shocking aspect of @BRobo82 project is its photo-realistic quality. A vast majority of creations in Dreams have a much more cartoonish aesthetic. The short campaign for Dreams is largely cartoonish, which continues the trend of developer Media Molecule's signature "crafts" aesthetic displayed in LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. But with Dreams, the possibilities apparently really are endless for not only how a game plays, but how it looks as well. Some of the best user creations in Dreams are remarkably simple in a visual sense but wildly creative in a gameplay sense. Now it appears that the vice-versa of that sentiment is becoming true as well.

Only a couple months out from release, Dreams users are already pushing the bounds of what was considered possible in a PlayStation-based software development kit. Developer Media Molecule should be commended for creating such a versatile creation suite, as should @BRobo82 for pushing the boundaries of the engine. Perhaps it's possible @BRobo82 will have the opportunity to work in an official capacity with a game studio at some point, as several Dreams creators have already been hired by developers. As of now, the sky is the limit for what's to come in Dreams.
