"Crazy" Steve (Jerry Trainor) was a memorable character on Drake & JoshHe was known for his sudden outbursts, which were one of the hilarious aspects to his character. He doesn't like Mondays and he hates it when someone else eats his enchilada.

He was Josh's co-worker at the movie theater and though people feared him, audiences couldn't help but love him. He brought a comedy all his own to the show, and was one of the most unforgettable characters Drake & Josh produced for audiences to love for generations to come.

First Impression

When audiences first met Steve, it was when Josh was complimenting the theater's sound system and popcorn, and the movie he'd just seen. When he offers one little criticism regarding a loose cup holder in the theater, it sends Steve over the edge. He sarcastically mentions that with all the pain, hunger and disease in the world, there's no better use of his time than to ensure every cup holder is "rock solid steady", God forbid Josh's lemonade be a little "unbalanced." Josh quietly says he had the fruit punch, which leads to Steve declaring that he was quitting. It wasn't the last audiences would see of Steve, and he certainly left a lasting first impression.

Popcorn Machine Problems

Steve interrupts Josh's conversation with his friends at the theater, gently asking for help with the malfunctioning popcorn machine. Josh's response is for Steve to ask someone else since Josh isn't working that night, and it sends Steve overboard.

He knocks over Eric's chair, sending Eric flying backwards with a scream, and tosses the sausage of Craig's hot dog elsewhere, screaming at Josh "thanks for nothing!" Steve must've been having a bad time with that popcorn machine.

Foreign Movies

Trying to impress his pen-pal, Yooka from Yudonia, Josh takes her to the theater to watch a movie that will remind her of home, as he's mistranslated that she's "homesick" when she's really "sick of home." However, Drake pressures Josh into giving Yooka a more American experience, which Yooka is happier with, and so, Josh tells Steve they'll be seeing a different movie. Steve doesn't take the change of plans well, as he's spent hours tracking down the foreign film and getting everything set up; he threatens that someone will be watching the movie, or "somebody's gonna be an organ donor before their seventeenth birthday, Josh Nichols!", which convinces Josh to see the foreign film, as he definitely wanted to keep his organs intact.

Fire Bad

While Josh is telling his co-workers that he beat Helen at racquetball, a game she's known to be a pro at, it turns from an innocent conversation into calming Steve down when Josh declares he was "on fire." Steve immediately freaks out, screaming "fire!" and spraying the cleaner Josh was using to clean the counter with into his face, which was ironic considering the cleaner is probably flammable.

Steve's panic was extinguished by Josh, who assured Steve there was no fire and to just breathe "in and out" while rubbing his head, until Steve is calm enough and hugs the cash register. Alrighty then...

Steve And His Wood Chipper

In Merry Christmas Drake & Josh, Steve owns a wood chipper he affectionately calls Sally. He seems to consider her as a real person, as he's deeply offended by anyone who dares to call Sally "it", if his freak-outs are anything to go by. Given his nickname is "Crazy" Steve, he's probably not the best person to own such a machine, but he uses it for good to help out Drake and Josh give some kids a nice Christmas by throwing cheese into Sally as a substitute for snow.

Steam Cleaning Mental Health

While steam cleaning the carpet of the theater and removing stains, Steve seems to be getting some aggression towards his father off his chest.

He tells Mindy and Helen he thinks of each stain as his father, and screams at the floor things like "this is for making me do mom's laundry!" and "this is for sending me to fat camp!" Though unusual, it works for him, and he's getting work done at the same time. It's a win-win.

"I Also Struggle With An Anger Problem"

Steve notices that Josh is angrily stacking candy. Josh explains that he's angry to see Mindy at the theater, rubbing in the fact that she has a new boyfriend in Josh's face. Steve sympathizes, saying "I also struggle with an anger problem", and proceeds to show Josh a little squeaky toy he squeezes when he's angry. With perfect comedic timing, Steve freaks out seconds later, yelling at Josh to not drink while he's talking and begins squeezing his toy to alleviate his anger. Josh, frightened, spits out his drink as Steve asks "see how it works?" That squeaky toy comes in handy for both Drake and Josh, who struggle with anger in this particular episode.

Yelling At Dora

Steve really gets into an episode of Dora the Explorer, yelling at her in Spanish and impatiently telling her to hurry up. He hilariously yells "Come on Dora, you're the one with the map, don't ask me!" at one point. As the power is out at Drake and Josh's house, Steve is watching TV through a little set with an antenna that has to be manually cranked to remain on.

Craig is subjected to crank it, and if he dares try to take a break, Steve yells at him. Though, he did allow Mrs. Parker to switch the channel to check on her husband who was reporting on the bad weather from time to time. Given Steve seemed more than annoyed with Dora, maybe he needed a break, but he always wanted to go back and watch Dora afterwards anyway.

A Bad Case Of The Mondays

Mindy, newly hired as an assistant manager at the theater, schedules Steve to work on a Monday, which proves to be a dire mistake, though no one told her Mondays were Steve's bad day. Helen's ready to call the SWAT team, but Josh comes to the rescue, calming down Steve, who's swinging around bras attached to tennis shoes in each hand and screaming "Cock-a-doodle-doo, the cow says moo!" Steve recognizes Josh with a "you ate my enchilada" and gradually calms down as Josh sings "She'll Be Coming 'Round The Mountain" to him; Steve breaks down, hugging Josh and apologizing. Audiences can concur with Monday being rough, but Steve takes it to a whole other level.

"You Ate My Enchilada!"

Unfortunately for Josh, he unknowingly consumes Steve's enchilada at work. When he realizes what he's done, he pleads with Steve, insisting that there was no note. At first, Steve doesn't freak out. This is due to the fact that he worked out a plan with his psychologist in which he's only allowed to get angry four times each day; when his watch goes off, signifying that it's time, Steve rips a cane out of the grasp of an elderly man and goes after Josh. Even when Josh thought the matter had been settled, Steve was still really angry about Josh eating his enchilada, and this incident became a fan-favorite.
