The official Xbox Game Pass Twitter page is hinting that more Dragon Quest games could be coming to the service in the future. As of the time of writing, there are only two Dragon Quest games available on Xbox Game Pass.

Square Enix has released a number of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts titles on Game Pass, and it's starting to allow Dragon Quest games on the service. The first was Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition, which launched on Game Pass on day one when it came to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S systems. Dragon Quest XI S is one of the best JRPGs of the previous console generation, and its presence on Game Pass is a huge get for Microsoft.

The most recent Dragon Quest title to come to Xbox Game Pass is Dragon Quest Builders 2A fan on the official Xbox Game Pass Twitter commented that Dragon Quest Builders 2 was too much Dragon Quest content, as they were still busy with Dragon Quest XI S. The Twitter account responded with a hint that more Dragon Quest games are on the way.

This raises the question of what Dragon Quest games could be making their way to PC and Xbox systems? One obvious answer is the original Dragon Quest Builders, as its sequel is already on the service, and it's a great game in its own right. The two Dragon Quest Heroes games are strong possibilities, as they're already available on a number of platforms. The remastered version of the original Dragon Quest trilogy is also possible, as they're all currently available on Nintendo Switch. It still doesn't have a release date, but Infinity Strash – Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai is also meant to be coming to consoles in 2021, so a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass could be on the cards.

The Dragon Quest series is huge in Japan, but it has struggled to find an audience in the West, even with the promotional bump of Akira Toriyama's artwork, a character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimateand rave reviews for new games. Xbox Game Pass could be the ideal place to help propel the Dragon Quest series to mainstream success in Japan, especially if more high-profile entries from the series make their way to the service in the future.
