Animated TV show The Dragon Prince is renewed for four more seasons at Netflix, with season 4, 5, 6 and 7 each having nine episodes to close out the saga. Created by Aaron Ehasz (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Justin Richmond (Uncharted 3), The Dragon Prince tells the story of two young princes - Callum (Jack DeSena) and Ezran (Sasha Rojen) - who go on a quest with Moonshadow Elf Rayla (Paula Burrows) to reunite the dragon prince with his mother. The Dragon Prince season 3 finale, which concluded the most recent season in November 2019, saw the major conflict between dragons and certain human factions come to a head. Now, fans can rest assured the stories of Callum, Ezran and Rayla will continue.

During the show's Comic-Con@Home, co-creators Ehasz and Richmond revealed The Dragon Prince has been renewed for four seasons that will release on Netflix in the coming years. Ehasz said, "Netflix has picked up the whole saga of The Dragon Prince," indicating the creators will be able to tell the full story they envisioned. Though there's no release date set for season 4, it is currently in pre-production. New Dragon Prince art was also released, check it out below.

The Dragon Prince Renewed For Four More Seasons At Netflix

As Ehasz noted in the panel, the renewal is largely helped by the fan support and "polite" campaigns for Netflix to greenlight the full Dragon Prince saga and it seems to have paid off. When Netflix first started producing original content, the streamer made a name for itself for giving viewers what they want. Though that has shifted in recent years with Netflix cancelling many shows, particularly after season 3, the streaming service clearly recognized the dedication of The Dragon Prince's fans. While it now remains to be seen how The Dragon Prince's story will end, at least it's confirmed Ehasz and Richmond will be able to tell their complete tale.
