Fans thought Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was finished receiving new DLC, but Bandai Namco is surpassing the game's limits with even more content coming this Fall in the first part of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Pack Set. When Xenoverse 2 was first released in 2016, it allowed fans to create their own characters using many of the species and stylish gear found throughout the Dragon Ball series timeline. Those characters travel throughout time to fight powerful enemies and fix mysterious anomalies, often spawning engaging "what if" scenarios. However, after players completed the game's main storyline, extra DLC not only added more playable characters but also provided new exciting story arcs from both the Dragon Ball Super anime and films.

With several story arcs to play through and a roster of more than one hundred playable characters, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is not only one of the long-running series' biggest games, but it's also one of its most successful. The developers have released the free-to-play version, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite, and more than a dozen DLC packs for the base game. Now that the newest film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, has been released, its newly introduced characters and powerful new forms are on their way to the Dragon Ball game.

This Fall, the first of two DLC packs themed after the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film will become available, adding the quirky android Gamma 2 and two more fighters to Xenoverse 2. As reported by Gematsu, a short trailer revealing Gamma 2 and details regarding the upcoming DLC packs was shared on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel. Unfortunately, none of the movie's new characters made it into the Dragon Ball Fortnite crossover. Still, the end of the trailer teases the movie's other android Gamma 1, and another mysterious addition that will be included in this Fall's Super Hero DLC Pack 1. The trailer also announced a second DLC Pack based on the film. However, further details were not shared regarding when it will be available and which of the Super Hero movie characters it will include.

Super News For Super Fans Of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Many believe there hasn't been a better time to be a Dragon Ball fan. Although the Dragon Ball Super anime concluded in 2018, the story has continued with monthly chapter releases. The manga recently finished its second large arc to take place after the anime ended. Between that and the events of the last two DBS films, Broly and Super Hero, there is more than enough new story content for a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. Although there have been many rumors regarding the anticipated game, Xenoverse 3 has yet to be announced.

Fans of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 have been able to follow most of the storyline from the franchise's latest series, Dragon Ball Super, through many of the game's available DLC packs. The latest film gave some fan-favorite characters previously unseen powerful forms while also introducing new characters. It's nice that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be including the events of the Super Hero film. Still, many fans are ready for a new Dragon Ball game to take advantage of current-generation hardware.
