There is no shortage of powerful transformations within the mythos of Dragon Ball, not just exhibited by the likes of Goku and Vegeta, but other immensely strong characters like Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo–and one piece of animated fanart perfectly captures all of them in one epic battle. While perhaps the most iconic transformation in Dragon Ball history is that of Goku into a Super Saiyan for the first time (a form that would later extend to SSJ2 and SSJ3 throughout DBZ), there were plenty more before that one. In fact, a previous Saiyan transformation was arguably even more striking than the now-iconic Super Saiyan, a form known as the Great Ape. While that one ended up being pretty short-lived, Dragon Ball GT proved that it shouldn’t have been forgotten as the Great Ape transformation was integral in achieving probably the coolest form in a Saiyan’s arsenal, Super Saiyan 4. Skip over to the current continuity of Dragon Ball Super and there are even more transformations displayed for a number of different characters, transformations that include: Super Saiyan God/Blue, Ultra Instinct/Ego, Beast Gohan, and Orange Piccolo. As previously mentioned, there are tons of transformations in Dragon Ball–and this fanart features them all.Related: Goku's Super Saiyan Blue Gets a Modern Redesign in New FanartIn a Tweet by BatmAndrew.art, the user posted a video depicting fan-favorite Dragon Ball characters engaging in separate battles that are seamlessly edited together, giving the impression that every one of them is participating in an all-out brawl while exhibiting their increasingly powerful transformations. The video opens with Goku and Vegeta battling it out in their base forms before moving on to Super Saiyan 1-3 and then finally 4 followed by God, then Blue, and ending it off with Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego respectively. Then, that fight blends masterfully into the next, between Piccolo and Gohan who experience a similar steady increase in power with their final transformations being Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo. After that, Future Trunks is shown going up against Goten and Kid Trunks, all the while powering up to stronger and stronger forms until Goten and Kid Trunks fuse to become Gotenks.

The Dragon Ball Fan Animation Has Fights & Forms Never Shown in the Original Series

While this fan animation captures fan-favorite Dragon Ball fighters at their most powerful, it also gives fans certain fights and transformations that have never been shown in the original manga or anime. Firstly, the battle between Goku and Vegeta skipped from both of them in their Super Saiyan 4 forms to fighting in Super Saiyan God. The forms present in Dragon Ball GT were never shown in Super, and vice versa, so the idea of Goku and Vegeta going from SSJ4 to God in a single fight is completely new. The other bombshell in this animation is the sight of Vegeta powered up to Super Saiyan 3. Vegeta has never been able to reach Super Saiyan 3 in-continuity, and by the time he was strong enough to, that transformation became irrelevant in comparison to Super Saiyan God. Here, however, fans get the chance to see him as a SSJ3 in the middle of an epic battle against Goku.

From perfectly capturing the greatest Dragon Ball transformations in the most epic way imaginable to even surpassing the anime in terms of giving fans what they want to see, this fanart is an absolute treat for anyone who appreciates the coolest parts of the Dragon Ball mythos.
