Dragon Ball Super doesn't have a clear end in sight yet and the series hasn't lost its momentum. Dragon Ball's next canon film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Herois coming soon in June 2022.

This picks up in time right before the events of the end of Z. It seems likely that soon Dragon Ball Super will go beyond where Dragon Ball Z ended, making the series more suspenseful than before. There is still a great deal in Dragon Ball Super that hasn't happened, and many things that need to happen.

Uub Joining the Team

Uub joining the others likely won't be long given when Super Hero takes place, but many fans wonder if the original ending for Dragon Ball Z might be remade in some ways.

Dragon Ball Z has a very solid conclusion to the series, making it seem as if Goku is gone for good in some respects. But if Dragon Ball Super is to continue past this point, then the ending doesn't make much sense. Likely, Uub will still join the others and be trained by Goku, but there won't be any sad farewells from Goku.

Super Saiyan Pan

This is an event that surprisingly never happened in Dragon Ball GT and will more than likely happen in Dragon Ball Super. Many fans speculate it could happen as early as the new film, Super Hero, which does seem possible.

Pan has already shown incredible power and potential as a baby, showing viewers the youngest flying character ever. It doesn't seem farfetched that she will be the new youngest Super Saiyan too, as well as the first female Super Saiyan in Universe 7.

Goten and Trunks Relevance

Goten and Trunks have been sidelined for far too long in Dragon Ball Super, but now that they're grown up, that likely won't be the case any longer. What is really needed is for these two to drop fusion altogether and develop as their own individual characters.

It would be amazing to someday see a saga dedicated to Goten where he fought and defeated the main antagonist, much like his older brother did against Cell. While Goten and Trunks aren't as popular as some other characters, if they received more focus, they would get more attention from fans too.

The Return Of Raditz

Goku has gone back to his roots in the recent chapters of the Dragon Ball Super manga and there has been more than one mention of Raditz. Goku comments on Raditz and in the Bardock flashback fans get to see Bardock briefly commenting that he wished his sons would flourish.

It's a heartwarming moment but also a tragic one, knowing what befalls the two brothers. Fans have wished for a long time now for a redemption story for Raditz and with so many characters coming back from the past, it's certainly possible.

Zalama

Zalama with his amrs crossed in Dragon Ball.

Zalama is one of the most important background characters in Dragon Ball Super and more than likely one of the strongest characters. Dragon Balls cannot grant wishes that surpass the power of their creator and the Super Dragon Balls seemingly have no limit.

Just how powerful then is the creator of them? Zalama very easily could be the strongest character in the franchise and may be one of the final antagonists or teachers of the series. The Super Dragon Balls are the most prominent items in Dragon Ball Super, so it's unlikely Zalama doesn't make some sort of appearance.

Demon Realm

Dabura smiling confidently in Dragon Ball.

The Demon Realm was first mentioned in the Buu Saga and the only demon ever really seen is Dabura, the previous king of the Demon Realm. While video games like Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Heroes have overused the Demon Realm, it's yet to reappear in canon and at this point, it's a missed opportunity if it isn't used.

With the constant themes of gods and angels in Dragon Ball Super, it wouldn't make much sense to leave out demons. There are many concepts known for the Demon Realm that are unused and it could make for an interesting group of villains in a large war arc.

War In Heaven

This could be directly tied to Demon Realm, but many fans have long desired some sort of chaos to erupt at Zeno's Palace. Theories that angels are corrupt or that the Grand Priest is going to be Dragon Ball's version of Satan have long been in place.

At this point, it is looking less and less likely to be the case, but that doesn't mean there aren't a couple of corrupt angels that could cause a war. It would be the perfect opportunity to see the angels' full potential and also bring in demons. It also seems possible that before the series is over, Zeno ends up dead.

Surpassing Beerus

Beerus looking serious in Dragon Ball Super.

Surpassing this Dragon Ball god of destruction has been a long time coming in Dragon Ball Super and it seems that Goku and Vegeta are nearly there. As each arc passes, it seems almost as if Beerus is surpassed yet it's soon discovered that he's a bit stronger. By now, they may have surpassed Beerus with raw strength, but the two of them have yet to master their techniques. Goku is even closer to mastering Ultra Instinct as a pure technique, rather than a transformation. Whereas Vegeta will need a new technique, as he found Ultra Ego to be completely unfit for him.

Goku Vs Vegeta

This is a rematch fans have been dying to see ever since Dragon Ball Super began and it seems more than likely it'll happen at some point. This third battle will be much different from their previous two and there's no telling how it will end up.

Will it end like Naruto vs Sasuke or will it have a clear winner? Regardless of the outcome, it's still too soon for these two to have their conclusive battle and no matter the outcome it's sure to be epic.

Goku's Last Battle

How will Goku's final fight go? Will it be against Vegeta? Will the two of them kill each other? It's impossible to know exactly how Goku's final battle will be, but it needs to be explosive and push Goku to the furthest limits possible.

Goku needs to go out with a bang and face off against a top-tier antagonist that surpasses all others prior to themself. Goku doesn't need to be the strongest in the universe, but he does need a final battle that satisfies fans as the greatest fight in anime.
