The latest chapter in the ongoing Dragon Ball saga took fans by storm as it introduced the newest most powerful being in the universe, which could spark a union between the Saiyan heroes of Dragon Ball Super and Frieza, one of their greatest enemies. Goku and Vegeta had been battling the seemingly villainous Granolah, but their fight comes to an end after the bounty hunter learns that the Z-Fighters aren’t his true enemies. When the villains whom Granolah craves vengeance against finally reveal themselves, the heroes may need to call upon Frieza for help in defeating them just as they did earlier in the saga.

In Dragon Ball Super chapter 78 by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou, Granolah comes to grips with the fact that Saiyans were not responsible for his mother’s death, and in fact one of them, Goku’s father Bardock, was the one who tried to save her. Granolah learns that the villainous group of intergalactic scavengers known as the Heeters are the ones who killed his mother. At the time of his revelation, the Heeters show up to the former battleground and reveal that their leader, Gas, has just wished upon the Dragon Balls to become the most powerful being in the universe. Now, Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah have joined forces to take on the Heeters, but it is quickly becoming apparent that they may not be able to defeat them alone.

During the Tournament of Power storyline in Dragon Ball Super, fighters from every universe were pitted against each other in a multiversal royal rumble by the god of gods Zeno. In order to help ensure their universe’s survival, the Z-Fighters recruit Frieza to fight alongside them in the tournament. In the end, Frieza becomes instrumental in their success in the final fight against the seemingly unbeatable Jiren. Now, Goku and Vegeta are in a similar situation in that Gas has become the most powerful being in the universe and is at this point impossible to defeat. With the added help of Frieza, Goku, Vegeta and Granolah may have a chance in beating the villain. Plus, it would be in Frieza’s best interest in fighting Gas with the other warriors as the tyrant is next on Gas’ hit list.

The Heeters previously made their living by following behind Frieza’s Saiyan army as it decimated planet after planet. They would swoop in and scavenge the world and sell it to the highest bidder. While they were successful in their despicable endeavor, the Heeters always wanted to usurp Frieza and rule the universe in his stead. Now that Gas is the most powerful fighter out there, they can take Frieza’s throne by force, and the only thing presently stopping them is Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah. If Frieza joined their conflict, he could take the fight to the Heeters without being caught off guard with the added benefit of fighting alongside some of the strongest in the universe.

Frieza joining the battle against Gas would not only potentially save the Z-Fighters' lives, something Frieza cares very little about, but would also be in his best interest. Plus, fans know that Frieza is capable of working with his enemies to ensure his own survival, so a team-up in an upcoming chapter wouldn’t be the craziest idea. While acting in his own best interest, Frieza could once again prove his heroism in the next chapter of the Dragon Ball saga.
