How strong is Krillin in Dragon Ball Super? Krillin has been Goku's best friend since the original Dragon Ball, but it's been a long time since Krillin has been able to keep up with Goku. The two were competitive when they were children, but those days have long since passed; however, while Krillin can't compete with Goku anymore, there are times in both Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super where his power is needed.

Krillin was put in danger on a regular basis in the Saiyan and Frieza sagas of Dragon Ball Z. Krillin has been involved in battles with Nappa, Recoome, Zarbon, Dodoria, and Frieza, but for the most part, Krillin is usually seen fighting alongside other heroes like Gohan and Piccolo. For the most part, Krillin hasn't been involved in many solo battles where he's able to hold his own against an opponent without help. In Dragon Ball Z, Krillin was typically a character whose main responsibility was to help delay an enemy until someone more powerful could arrive.

The Universal Survival in Dragon Ball Super was a change in pace for Krillin, as it allowed for a one-on-one match-up with Goku and a heated battle with Universe 4's Majora in the Tournament of Power. Krillin's arc in the Tournament of Power gives viewers a good indication of just how far Krillin has come since Dragon Ball Z — and, unfortunately, the answer is that he hasn't progressed too much. Before the tournament, Krillin was actually injured by a bullet. Krillin's lack of strength was called out by Android 18 and his daughter, Maron. Embarrassed and humiliated, Krillin became determined to resume his training and get back into fighting shape.

In the anime, Krillin proves capable of holding his own against base form Goku, but it quickly becomes apparent that he would lose in a no holds barred match with Super Saiyan Goku. Also, Dragon Ball Super confirms that Krillin is still weaker than Android 18, though the gap between them may not be that large, based on his performances in his fights with Shosa and Majora. Krillin may have improved since he started training again in Dragon Ball Super, but given that not much time has passed, there's a limit on the gains Krillin could have made.

How does Krillin's power compare to the other characters? Krillin, who was the first member of the Universe 7 team to be eliminated, would lose to Master Roshi, and he would stand no chance against Piccolo or any of the characters above the Namekian. At the end of Buu Saga, it was stated that Krillin was equal with Yamcha, and since both characters have slacked off a bit on their training, this could still be true. All things considered, it would seem that though Krillin's power is getting further and further away from Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, he's managed to keep in-pace with most of the Dragon Ball supporting characters, not allowing himself to be left too far behind.
