Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.

Dr Disrespect hopes that Call of Duty: Warzone's new Vanguard map will be made by a new team. Dr Disrespect noted that he doesn't want to see Raven Software make the new WW2-themed map for Call of Duty: Warzone, instead, hoping to see Sledgehammer take the reigns. Dr Disrespect is always quite vocal and insightful when it comes to the shooter genre, which is likely why he also decided to form his own gaming studio.

Dr Disrespect used to work at Sledgehammer Games before his streaming career took off. The content creator designed some of the maps in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, so he seems to have an eye for good map design. With a new Warzone map on the way, players are expecting something really new to shake the game up. Warzone got a sizable update earlier this year which updated Verdasnk with a few new locations and some reskins of otherwise known areas, but it was largely the same map that the game launched with. This move upset a number of players and Dr Disrespect is hoping someone else will take control of the new map.

During a livestream, Dr Disrespect discussed the new map with ZLaner. The two praised Treyarch's map design in the franchise's first battle royale, Blackout. The mode was packaged with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and was a stepping stone for the much more well-received Warzone. He specifically noted that he hopes Raven didn't design it and wanted to see Sledgehammer step up to the plate for the new map to see if they're capable.

Despite Dr Disrespect being a Warzone fan, it seems like he's starting to get tired of it in its current state. Warzone will definitely see some sort of a shake-up with its new map as it will integrate WW2 into the beloved battle royale game. It seems unlikely that Sledgehammer will have the opportunity to develop the new map, however, as the studio reportedly only had two years to make Call of Duty: Vanguard. As a result, Treyarch will be returning to do the zombies mode while Sledgehammer works on the campaign and multiplayer. Given the team is seemingly already stretched thin, it seems more likely that Raven will return to do the new map.

Dr Disrespect is very vocal regarding Warzone's map, so perhaps Raven will us some feedback from the community in the new map. Raven is the lead developer on Call of Duty: Warzone, so it's hard to imagine anyone else designing a brand-new map from scratch at the moment, but perhaps things will change. Neither Sledgehammer nor Activision has given any insight into the new map and there's no word as to when it'll be revealed.
