Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman have finally reunited in Call of Duty: Warzone after roughly a year apart. Following Dr Disrespect's Twitch ban in summer 2020, the streamer has largely been unable to play with many of his friends due to contractual stipulations. TimTheTatman has openly expressed how he misses playing with Doc, but was unable to due to his Twitch partnership. Now that TimTheTatman has moved to YouTube, the two can play together once again.
The two used to play regularly on Twitch, largely being seen as an iconic Warzone duo. Not only are they top-notch players at the game, but their personalities gel well together. Both are very loud and engaging streamers who love to playfully rip into each other, which resulted in a bit of a void when the two were no longer able to play together last year. That said, it allowed for a very satisfying and fun reunion when TimTheTatman came to YouTube this past week.
On his first day of streaming on YouTube Gaming, TimTheTatman played Warzone with Dr Disrespect, DrLupo, and CouRageJD. Dr Disrespect had previously welcomed TimTheTatman to YouTube prior to the stream, but the two celebrated on stream by saying how happy they were to actually be able to play together once again. The quad had a very successful stream, as they witnessed a hacker get banned mid-game and concluded the stream with a triumphant victory in Warzone. On top of some great plays, the group had no trouble picking on each other like the old times.
TimTheTatman and DrLupo are just two of a handful of Twitch streamers who have moved to YouTube Gaming in the last year with exclusive contracts. Dr Disrespect doesn't have any sort of exclusive deal with the streamer, but given he's barred from Twitch, YouTube doesn't really need to lock him down. With that said, the platform is clearly leveraging a lot of key talent from Twitch and it'll be interesting to see how that grows over time.
Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman were some of the biggest names on Twitch, but YouTube Gaming has been able to steal them away. Whether or not this will incentivize other streamers to abandon the platform going forward remains to be seen, but YouTube Gaming is clearly building out an impressive roster of streamers. It seems unlikely the platform would be spending gobs of money on streamers like TimTheTatman if it didn't have a larger plan for its platform, but nothing concrete has been announced regarding the future.
