Infamous streamer Dr. Disrespect has hinted that he knows the reason Twitch banned him after all. The legendary gamer was booted from the streaming platform without warning back in June; the ban was permanent and irrevocable. After an extended period of radio silence from the Doc, he resurfaced on YouTube and began broadcasting his streams there. He has insisted in the past that he has no clue why Twitch banned him.

The intervening months have been somewhat unconventional for the Two-Time champion has he works to regain his legacy. The production quality of his streams remains high, and that level of effort and funding extends to other projects, including a music video he created starring himself. The streamer is still pulling in considerable crowds on YouTube, and the Twitch ban doesn't seem to have done much to damper his feisty competitive spirit.

In a recent stream (via Dexerto), Dr. Disrespect cryptically contradicted his earlier statements, claiming that he does have some knowledge about the Twitch ban after all. He was very evasive, insisting that there was "a process" preventing him from sharing all the info. His bitterness was evident across all the remarks he made about the ban, especially when he was asked about it by a fan who identified themself as a "25-year active duty Master Chief." When presented with this claim, Dr. Disrespect spun an elaborate analogy that seemed to reflect on the reasons for his ban. He told the fan to imagine the Navy getting rid of them one day in order to make room for three new recruits. The given reason for ditching the hypothetical Master Chief was that his position entitled him to a very large salary.

Doc seems to be hinting that Twitch banned him to save money, replacing him with three less famous streamers who didn't cost as much. Since streamers Ninja and Shroud returned to Twitch following the disastrous collapse of streaming platform Mixer, it's been speculated that they're two of the three cadets in Doc's analogy. It doesn't help their case when one considers that their return came right around the same time Doc got the boot. This is all speculation, and it's still unclear who the third cadet is, but it's a distinct possibility.

When business gets in the way of video games, the result is never pretty. Dr. Disrespect brings joy and amusement to millions of people online, and the thought that Twitch denied him that opportunity simply because he was too expensive is a sobering one indeed. Hopefully whatever "process" is preventing Doc from sharing the true reason for his ban gets sorted out soon, and fans will finally learn the true story. In the meantime, at least Dr. Disrespect can keep bringing people joy over on YouTube.
