Many people have claimed to know the reason for Dr. Disrespect's Twitch ban, but he has never confirmed any rumors, most likely due to the topic's sensitivity.
Although he cannot talk about the specifics behind his ban, Dr. Disrespect has been quite vocal about his outrage at the permanent Twitch ban. At first, the famous streamer didn't even know why he'd had been permanently banned from Twitch. However, In August 2021, Dr. Disrepect let his fans know that he had figured out why Twitch had taken down his channel and planned to take legal action against the platform.
During a YouTube live stream on November 12th that was shared by Twitter user Wicked Good Gaming (via Dexerto), Dr. Disrespect claimed that EA had shadowbanned him. In the clip, Dr. Disrespect expressed frustration, claiming the "defamation" from his permanent Twitch ban may have caused the EA ban in some way. There is no source on how the streamer got ahold of this information, as being shadowbanned is typically meant to keep the person from knowing they are banned in the first place, and neither EA nor Twitch have commented on these allegations. While this EA shadowban doesn't stop him from playing games like Apex Legends or Battlefield 2042, it does harm his ability to work with the companies and create partnerships.
This isn't the first time Dr. Disrepect has been affected by his Twitch ban. Back in February this last year, he was removed from the Call Of Duty tournament since Twitch was handling the live stream for it. Dr. Disrepect went on to explain his sadness over not being involved in the Battlefield 2042 launch. However, he seems even more upset over the loss of relationships and connections he developed over several years with EA and the developers.
While the impact of Dr. Disrpect's Twitch ban on his professional relationships is unknown and largely due to speculation by the streamer, it's understandable that specifics have to be kept from the public eye. For a streamer as brash and controversial as Dr. Disrespect, it's expected that his antics could ruffle some feathers. However, it is understandable that he would be upset to not have transparency as to the reason for the issues with EA. Only time will tell if the truth behind the scenes will ever be revealed.
