As the name suggests, it will offer a double dose of drama. However, people are wondering if that drama comes at double the cost? Now, the Derricos have revealed how much they spend on their 14 children.

TLC’s biggest obsession is big families. After reality TV hits such as Jon & Kate Plus 8, OutDaughtered, Sweet Home Sextuplets, 7 Little Johnstons, Welcome to Plathville, and Sister Wives, its next big launch is Doubling Down with the Derricos. Karen and Deon from Las Vegas lead a pack of 11 naturally-conceived kids... with three more on the way. The show then follows their journey while they welcome the triplets and raise them, along with the rest! Extreme parenting, combined with a heavy dose of drama, is what makes Doubling Down with the Derricos a must-watch. As fans wait for Tuesday nights to hit a growth spurt, a nagging question is on their minds...how much does raising this kids cost?. The Derricos have this query covered, with a shocking no-so-little revelation.

Karen and Deon, the reality TV supermom and super dad from Doubling Down with the Derricos, spoke to People and spilled her parenting secrets. “In a week we go through 15 boxes of waffles, 20 rolls of toilet paper," confessed Deon, who’s a real estate investor. Karen, a stay-at-home mom added, "The amount of money that we spend on groceries, oh my gosh." Then came the big revelation,"$2,500-$3,500 a month, easy.” Referring to mornings at the Derricos residence as a ballet performance, Karen said, “It's chaotic. We have to constantly be on them: 'Have a seat, eat your breakfast, let's get everything together.' It's definitely a job when they get down."

The Doubling Down with the Derricos leads shared that although both of them come from families that boasted multiples, they have the most multiples that “anyone has ever heard of.” Post the show, Karen has 16 children in this order: a daughter, a son, twin boys, quintuplets (three girls and two boys), two more twin boys and triplets (the recently born two girls and a boy). She revealed how it all started when she, unfortunately, miscarried twice after the birth of her oldest. "Once I became pregnant, the doctor started me on progesterone to sustain my pregnancy. But all of our children were naturally convinced. Not one round of IVF" said the soon-to-be TLC star.

In its season 1, Doubling Down with the Derricos will follow the ups and downs the family goes through, with Karen being hospitalized at 24 weeks due to complications...and Deon taking over. He thankfully gets help from the oldest member of the family, grandma Marian Derrico, and a nephew he considers his own child, Eric Jefferson. The show will also have simultaneous spin-offs, which are called the TLCGo series, The Derrico Family: Inside the Episode (it will air behind the scenes content), and The Derrico Family: Meet the Kids. The last spin-off mentioned is a Facebook exclusive focused on the kids. Fans can expect nothing but equal amounts of drama and fun from Doubling Down with the Derricos.
