The Doubling Down With the Derricos family is always on diaper duty. With 14 children, Deon and Karen Derrico know a thing or two about how hectic a bottle and diaper routine can be. But turns out they’ve seen even more difficult days when the quintuplets arrived. The Doubling Down With the Derricos quints were going through 40 bottles and 100 diapers in a day back in 2013!

Karen Derrico needs a cape by now. The Las Vegas mom has so far birthed 14 beautiful children on TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos. With the newly born triplets, 40-year-old Karen and her husband Deon, 49, really felt in need of hiring a nanny. But Karen has been the one in charge of supermom duty ever since the Derricos welcomed their first baby girl, Darian, in 2006. A singleton later, Karen and Deon have given birth only to multiple multiples, from twins to quintuplets to triplets. Phew. It's already known that the family of 16 spends $3500 on groceries every month, but when it came to juggling five babies at once, the Derricos were in for a complete surprise. The Derricos, with their obsession for the letter “D,” had to deal with a problem that began with the same letter – the diaper. But is there anything the Doubling Down With the Derricos parents cannot do? Those who’ve watched the reality show know the answer is “NO!

In September 2013, Karen and Deon were blessed with the miracle babies, aka the Derrico quintuplets. Three girls and two boys, Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician, and Daiten were the newest members of the Derrico house. Karen and Deon were expecting quadruplets when a fifth surprise little member arrived. The family made it to the national news, which back then was a hint of greater things to come. In an interview with Today, the five little Derricos made their small screen debut with their four elder siblings –  Darian, Derrick, Dallas, and Denver.

In the interview, Karen revealed that feeding time for the quintuplets took place every three hours, meaning a total of almost 40 bottles in a day! And diapers? The parents had to change roughly 100 in a 24-hour period, thanks to their five babies. “Lo and behold! We change them and then when you finish and go to the next one you realize the one you just changed did it all over again,” said the weary Derrico mom with a smile. Parenting is easy, they said.

Deon says in the video that he doesn’t want “anyone to grow up thinking they didn’t get enough love.” But Doubling Down With the Derricos fans will agree that all the 14 children are really fortunate to have such loving parents. Each baby gets equal attention, from the 14-year-old to the tiniest Derricos born a year ago. How do Karen and Deon manage to do it? The secret lies in the success of Doubling Down With the Derricos.
