Dota: Dragon's Blood was created by the co-writer of Thor, Ashley Miller, and follows the storyline of the 2013 video game Dota 2.
Dota: Dragon's Blood season 1 revolves around the Chaos of the Infinite - the result of the Primordial Mind splitting in half. In this universe, a man named Davion thrives as a respected dragon hunter. When the Knight crosses paths with the Princess of the Moon, Mirana, he becomes immersed in a power struggle for the lotuses of Mene, which thematically link to the Goddess Selemene. The two main protagonists seek out a sage named the Invoker, while the leader of the Dark Moon Order, Luna, attempts to recover the missing lotuses. Meanwhile, a demon named Terrorblade embraces the chaos surrounding Davion and Mirana, and hopes to create a new world in his image.
The Dota: Dragon's Blood cast includes a supporting performance from Tony Todd, who portrayed the iconic villain Candyman in the original 1992 film. While he's arguably the biggest pop culture name in the main lineup, the supporting cast includes several accomplished performers from the world of voice acting.
Yuri Lowenthal As Davion
Yuri Lowenthal stars as Davion, a dragon knight and the central protagonist. After meeting an eldwurm and a princess, he's forced to accept the truth about a dragon that lurks inside him. Lowental voiced Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the 2018 video game Spider-Man and Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Omniverse.
Lara Pulver As Princess Mirana
Lara Pulver voices Mirana, the Princess of the Moon who can make herself invisible. While traveling with Davion, she becomes skeptical about the motivations of the elf Fymryn. Pulver portrayed Irene Adler in Sherlock and Karen Lord in Edge of Tomorrow.
Tony Todd As Slyrak The Ember Eldwurm
Tony Todd portrays Slyrak the Ember Eldwurm. He merges with Davion, which allows the Knight to channel centuries of information during battles. Todd starred as the title character in Candyman and appeared as Captain Darrow in The Rock.
Troy Baker As Invoker
Troy Baker voices the Invoker, an intelligence expert who lives in a realm between seven heavens and seven hells. He's accused of being the Devil and makes a proposition to the Goddess Selemene that will seemingly lead to peace. Baker voiced Joel in The Last of Us and currently voices Dash Haber in the Netflix show Carmen Sandiego.
Kari Wahlgren As Luna
Kari Wahlgren voices Luna, a moon rider who attacks Princess Mirana and attempts to steal the lotuses. She's loyal to the Goddess Selemene and will defend her at all costs. Wahlgren voiced Jessica in Rick and Morty and currently voices Sheena in Carmen Sandiego.
Alix Wilton Regan As Selemene
Alix Wilton Regan voices Selemene, the Goddess of the Moon. She watches over the Nightsilver Woods, which contains the coveted lotuses of Mene. Regan voiced Aya in Assassin's Creed: Origins and portrayed Dr. Kimberley Wells in The Brave.
Freya Tingley As Fymryn
Freya Tingley portrays Fymryn, a kind-hearted elf who meets up with Davion in the forest. Her presence concerns Mirana, and she ultimately steals the lotuses. Tingley portrayed Wendy Darling in Once Upon a Time and Christina Wendell in Hemlock Grove, a Netflix horror series.
Stephanie Jacobsen As Drysi
Stephanie Jacobsen voices Drysi, Luna's arch enemy. She's a revolutionary leader who squares off against the Dark Moon Order in the climax. Jacobsen portrayed Lauren Yung in Melrose Place and Niko Takeda in the ABC show Revenge.
Anson Mount As Kaden
Anson Mount voices Kaden, one of the most respected dragon knights all of all time. He's the only one to kill each of the eight types, and has been preparing 20 years for a war. Mount portrayed Cullen Bohannon in Hell on Wheels and Captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Discovery.
JB Blanc As Terrorblade
JB Blanc voices Terrorblade, a demon who lives in the hidden dimension of Foulfell. He finds truth in the chaos that results from the shattered Primordial Mind, and attempts to remake creation in his own image. Blanc portrayed Dr. Barry Goodman in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
