Paramount's Dora and the Lost City of Gold adapts Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer animated TV show to live-action - but does it have a post-credits scene setting up a sequel? Hollywood has taken to adapting animated movies and TV series to live-action for big screen outings, like Disney's The Lion King, and another of these is Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
The movie is set 10 years after the TV show, as a 16-year-old Dora (Isabela Moner) is sent to live with her cousin Diego (Jeff Wahlberg) in California and attend public school. However, when Dora, Diego and two of their classmates - Sammy (Madeleine Madden) and Randy (Nicholas Coombe) - are kidnapped by treasure hunting mercenaries, they'll have to go on an adventure through the jungle to find Dora's parents, Cole (Michael Peña) and Elena (Eva Longoria). The Dora and the Lost City of Gold movie trailers have teased an Indiana Jones-style adventure for fans of Dora the Explorer.
Now that Dora and the Lost City of Gold is hitting theaters around the world, moviegoers may be wondering whether they need to stick around until the very end of the film's one hour and 42-minute runtime for sequel set-up. Dora and the Lost City of Gold does NOT have a post-credits scene, but it does have a fun surprise at the end of the credits for fans of the Dora the Explorer TV show.
