90 Day Fiancé has had its share of mismatched couples, but some duos are actually too much alike, rather than too different. In some cases, being very similar has led to romantic catastrophes. While some couples manage to stay together in spite of arguments and wild tempers, fans still think that they are headed for disaster. These couples keep viewers watching, because fans wonder if there is a reason why opposites tend to attract.

Throughout the history of the franchise, many couples have faced scrutiny over the way that they treat each other. In many cases, the audience has favored one part of a couple over the other, believing that they are being mistreated by a manipulative partner. In other instances, both "halves" of 90 Day Fiancé couples are found to be at fault for their troubled relationship, and called out for having the same character flaws.

The couples discussed below have been labeled as “doomed” as a result of their shared faults. It’s often easy to dislike or reject aspects of oneself when they are reflected in another person. This can lead to a lot of friction in relationships, especially when both partners get angry quickly, or display the same immaturity.

Colt and Larissa

This fiery couple turned heads on 90 Day Fiancé season 6, when their iconic arguments contributed to some of 90 Day Fiancé’s most unforgettable quotes and moments. While many of the clashes in their relationship involved Larissa arguing with Colt’s overbearing mother Debbie, Colt and Larissa both had explosive tempers that led to several physical altercations. The pair ultimately divorced less than a year after tying the knot in June 2018. From the start, viewers realized that the couple was doomed to end up on the 90 Day Fiancé relationship "scrap heap."

Jasmine and Gino

A recent addition to the 90 Day Fiancé pantheon, Gino and Jasmine made their first appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5. Fans initially felt sympathetic towards Gino, as Jasmine appeared incredibly controlling and jealous at the beginning of their season. She even forced Gino to Facetime her any time he left his apartment. However, things took an unexpected turn halfway through the season. It was revealed that Gino, in an attempt to make his ex jealous, had shared intimate photos of Jasmine without her consent. He lied about it multiple times to her face, even denying that the photos shared were nudes. While the couple ended up staying together, and even got engaged, fans can see that the romance between the two manipulators is a disaster waiting to happen.

Sumit and Jenny

Sumit and Jenny became an unlikely couple when they met through Facebook, after Sumit catfished his now-wife, who is thirty years his senior. They made their appearance several years later, on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1. The couple has faced many challenges, including disapproval from Sumit’s traditional Indian family, and even Sumit lying to Jenny about being married. In spite of their large age gap, fans see Sumit and Jenny as two incredibly immature adults. Sumit can’t seem to stop lying to Jenny and his family, while Jenny seems to rely on either her daughter or Sumit to care for her and support her. While the pair finally got married in their most recent season of The Other Way, fans see this relationship going south quickly, unless both of them start acting like adults.

Jibri and Miona

Miona and Jibri Bell from 90 Day Fiancé Season 9

Jibri and Miona are currently starring in 90 Day Fiancé season 9. Fans have noted the shared immaturity of this young couple. Miona has been incredibly demanding, telling Jibri that she will not continue living with his parents, and stating that she would only accompany him on a trip to Chicago to record with his band, Black Serbs, if he agreed to have an expensive beach wedding. Jibri is also seen as childish, getting into a physical altercation with best friend and bandmate, David. This brawl was the result of David wondering if Jibri's commitment to Miona was more important to him than his art and career. The couple infamously prepared an unappetizing frozen meal when Jibri’s parents asked them to make dinner. Fans can see this 90 Day Fiancé couple blowing up if they cannot figure out how to grow up and communicate.
