New posters for Doom Patrol season 2 offer the first look at the Chief's mysterious daughter Dorothy. Doom Patrol debuted on DC Universe back in February 2019 and quickly became a critical hit for the burgeoning streamer. It follows a group of misfits who all come together while recovering from various traumas that gave them special abilities. The first season of Doom Patrol starred Brendan Fraser (Cliff Steele), Matt Bomer (Larry Trainor), April Bowlby (Rita Farr), Diane Guerrero (Crazy Jane), Jovian Wade (Victor Stone), and Timothy Dalton (Dr. Niles Caulder/the Chief). Season 2 was officially announced last summer, and fans have eagerly awaited more news ever since.

Just a few weeks ago, Doom Patrol season 2 received its official release date: Thursday, June 25. It will once again stream on DC Universe, but this time around, it'll also be available on the newly-launched HBO Max. Doom Patrol is the only DC Universe show that is currently available on HBO Max, further bolstering HBO Max's growing DC content. The second season will premiere on both services on the same day, though three episodes will be made available on HBO Max right away.

A little less than a month before the season premiere, DC Universe and HBO Max have unveiled new posters for Doom Patrol. In addition to featuring all of the returning players, the posters give fans their first real look at Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), the Chief's extremely powerful daughter. It's safe to say that her appearance is comic book accurate, which will likely thrill fans. Plus, the Wizard of Oz references are a nice touch. You can see the posters for yourself in the space below.

Season 2 of Doom Patrol is expected to pick up with the disparate heroes still wrestling with the Chief's betrayal, as the end of the first season revealed the Chief was responsible for everyone's tragedies. Additionally, they'll have to adjust to living with Dorothy, whose powers could potentially bring about the end of the world. And, of course, the Doom Patrol will have to face all of this while still being stuck in miniaturized form (with the exception of Larry, who remained fully grown).

Since the premiere date and first posters have been revealed, it's likely only a matter of time until DC Universe releases the first trailer for Doom Patrol season 2. It's been just about a year now since the first season came to an end, so fans are desperate for their first glimpse of new footage (the Doom Patrol's quick Crisis on Infinite Earths cameo doesn't count). Hopefully they don't have to wait too much longer.
