Tom Holland returns in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, but does Spider-Man: No Way Home have a post-credits scene setting up future movies - and if so, how many? Following 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, No Way Home picks up after the cliffhanger ending that saw Peter Parker's (Holland) identity as Spider-Man outed to the world, at the same time he was also framed for murdering Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). The surprising revelations in the Spider-Man: Far From Home post-credits scenes directly set up No Way Home, which sees Peter turn to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for a spell that will make everyone forget he's Spider-Man. However, the spell goes awry and villains from other universes show up.

Although Spider-Man: No Way Home is the final MCU movie of 2021, there are six upcoming films on Marvel Studios' slate, the next of which is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Cumberbatch's second solo outing as the Sorcerer Supreme is joined by a host of other sequels including Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Marvels. There are also Sony Pictures' planned Marvel movies, which include Morbius and the animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One). So while this film is wrapping up 2021, there are still plenty of Marvel and MCU movies releasing after Spider-Man: No Way Home - which makes it a prime opportunity for credits scenes to tease those upcoming films.

With Spider-Man: No Way Home hitting theaters around the world, viewers may wonder whether the film has any stingers or button scenes during or after the credits. Spider-Man: No Way Home has TWO credits scenes, one at the mid-credits point and another at the very end. Although it's always worth watching the credits to get an idea of who was involved in making a film, Marvel fans especially will want to stick around until the very end of the latest Spidey movie.

In terms of what those scenes entail, we won't ruin the surprise here for those who have yet to see the movie. However, it should be noted that both credits scenes work to set up future Marvel movies, both within Sony's Marvel universe and the MCU. So fans excited for the future of these franchises would do well to wait until the end of the credits for both Spider-Man: No Way Home credits scenes.

As for Holland's Peter Parker, it's unclear when he'll next return. Sony producer Amy Pascal said the studio is already thinking about Spider-Man 4, 5 and 6 with Holland, though nothing has been officially announced. There's also a chance Holland may appear as his Spider-Man in one of the Across the Spider-Verse movies given he was originally going to do a cameo for 2018's Into the Spider-Verse, but it was cut. Per the deal Sony and Disney/Marvel struck prior to No Way Home, Holland is still set to appear in an MCU team-up movie, though it's unknown what film that will be at this time. Still, with Spider-Man: No Way Home movie reviews heaping glowing praise on the film and it poised to have a successful run at the box office, there's sure to be a future for Holland's wall-crawler in the MCU and/or Sony's Marvel movies after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
