Doctor Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness is the latest film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whisking viewers through a variety of universes. Madness ensues, fulfilling the title's promise, in the closest thing the franchise has given fans yet to a true horror movie, thanks to the vision of Evil Dead auteur Sam Raimi in the director's chair.

In addition to its marquee director, the second Doctor Strange is full of big stars with great acting abilities. This includes several cameos and new faces to the cinematic universe. Several of these actors are well-seasoned and keep busy with jobs coming their way often. Many even have projects coming out within the next year.

Doctor Strange Using Chaos Magic in Multiverse of Madness

Benedict Cumberbatch plays the title character in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. His three most recent acting credits are MCU-related. He will be taking a break from his magical character to star in The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, a film based on a Roald Dahl book.

Benedict will be playing Henry Sugar in the Wes Anderson directed film.  He’ll be performing alongside Rupert Friend, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley, and Ralph Fiennes. According to IMDb, the film is still being shot, and who’s to say the Doctor Strange press tour didn’t halt production for the time being? While there is no set date for its release, the adventure comedy is expected to be distributed by Netflix sometime in 2023.

Benedict Wong and his character have been kicking butt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having appeared in the three latest Marvel Studios movies. Fans hope to see Wong in future Marvel properties as well. His character is most prominent in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, as he has a great deal to do with the story and conflict.

Benedict Wong will voice the Magician in The Magician’s Elephant, an animated film based on a children’s book by Kate DiCamillo about a boy’s search for his sister. This search leads him to a fortune-teller who tells him an elephant will guide his way. Brian Tyree Henry, Natasia Demetriou, and Mandy Patinkin are also among the voice cast for this fantasy adventure film that’s sure to be enjoyable for the whole family.

The Pod Generation - Chiwetel Ejiofor

Chiwetel Ejiofor is reprising a version of his role as Baron Mordo in the Doctor Strange sequel. Mordo lives in a different universe, and when Stephen Strange from Earth 616 appears with America Chavez, he and his team take matters into their own hands. Ejiofor is currently filming The Pod Generation, a movie set to come out next year.

The Pod Generation explores a world where AI has progressed and pregnancy has evolved to give both men and women the experience of being pregnant. Chiwetel will play Alvy alongside the likes of Emilia Clarke, Vinette Robinson, and Kathryn Hunter. The film is considered to be a science fiction romantic comedy. While it’s unsure how trippy the film will be, women are sure to be excited to witness a man’s reaction to labor pains.

Peggy Carter herself, Hayley Atwell, appears in the Doctor Strange sequel in a scene with several other surprise cameo appearances. Peggy comes from a separate universe in which she was injected with the super-soldier serum and became Captain Carter.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission:Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 is the seventh film in the franchise. Hayley Atwell plays Grace, a character described by Atwell as having “somewhat ambiguous loyalties.” Dead Reckoning has been delayed several times but is now expected in July 2023. Not much else is known about the movie, but Marvel fans can get excited to see Hayley Atwell grace their screens again soon.

The School For Good And Evil - Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron appears at the very end of the second Doctor Strange as Clea, a new character in the MCU. Known for being Dormammu’s niece and Stephen’s eventual wife in the comics, her presence in the mid-credits scene is cause for excitement.

Charlize Theron’s next role appears to be The School For Good and Evil. The film is based on a book series by Soman Chainani about two friends who are kidnapped and brought to a school that trains them to become their best good or evil selves. Theron will play Lady Lessa, the Dean of the School for Evil. Also starting Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, and Kerry Washington, this movie will be distributed by Netflix and is expected to come out later this year.

Love And Death - Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the iconic and badass TV and movie character of Wanda Maximoff, takes on a darker version of the witch fans already know. Her arc in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness is a direct continuation from WandaVision, as she is determined to get her boys back.

Elizabeth Olsen has already filmed her next project. She stars in Love and Death, a dramatized true-crime limited series set to be released sometime this year on HBO Max. Olsen plays Candy Montgomery, the woman who murders her friend Betty Gore. From what can be seen of Love and Death, her portrayal of Candy is similar to her performance in WandaVision: unsettling but top tier.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret! - Rachel McAdams

Reprising her role as Christine Palmer in the MCU, Rachel McAdams’ performance in the Doctor Strange sequel is excellent. She plays more than one version of the character, and she does a great job of showing Christine’s grief over Stephen in every universe.

Based on a Judy Blume book of the same name, Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret will follow Margaret Simon as she struggles with being the new kid, growing up, and trying to figure out her religion. Rachel McAdams plays Margaret’s mom, a Christian who allows Margaret to find her religion, contrary to her parents who disowned her for marrying a Jewish man. McAdams is a very talented actor and there is no doubt she will be able to mix comedy and surrealism to bring Margaret’s mother—and the book--to life.

The Woman King - Sheila Atim & Lashana Lynch

Sheila Atim plays Sara, a sorceress who sacrifices herself to give Dr. Strange, America, and Wong a chance to flee from Wanda’s grasp. Lashana Lynch, who starred as Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel reprises her role in a different universe where Maria became Captain Marvel instead.

The Woman King, directed by Gina Prince-Blythewood, is a film based on the true story of the Kingdom of Dahomey, a once-powerful African region known for its all-female army. Lashana Lynch and Sheila Atim both have parts in this film and seeing as their characters in Doctor Strange are strong and powerful women, fans can expect to witness similar characters in The Woman King when it’s distributed by Sony Pictures in September 2022.

John Krasinski has long been fan-cast as Reed Richards. Fans see their casting a reality in the second Doctor Strange when Krasinski steps into the light and speaks to an annoyed Stephen Strange. IMDb also has him listed as being a part of the Marvel’s next new Fantastic Four movie.

John Krasinski is starring in DC League of Super-Pets, set to release at the end of July. He plays Superman, and he’s best buds with his animal sidekick, Krypto. When he and the other members of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto forms a group of super-powered animals to save the day. This animated feature appears to take elements of Secret Life of Pets and We Can Be Heroes, and merges them with DC properties. With John Krasinksi and other cast members such as Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Natasha Lyonne, this film is sure to be a family hit.
