Warning! Spoilers for The Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1 below.

With the death of Doctor Strange looming in the pages of Marvel Comics, the hero White Fox will be getting framed for killing the Sorcerer Supreme. On Thursday, Marvel revealed a brand new one-shot titled The Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1, which will have the new hero trying to clear her name as she becomes a suspect in Stephen Strange's untimely demise.

White Fox is a relatively new hero to the Marvel Universe, first debuting in Contest of Champions #1 back in 2015. The South Korean hero is the last of the Kumiho, shapeshifting foxes who have many incredible powers. She has heightened senses, the ability to transform into a nine-tailed fox, hypnotism, and the ability to steal life forces from her enemies via contact. Originally, the Kumiho used their powers to steal the hearts of men and kill them. However, White Fox, whose real name is Ami Han, is part human/part Kumiho, and generally uses her unique skill set for good. White Fox has been a member of the New Agents of Atlas and more recently the Tiger Division.

In a new preview for The Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1 (via CBR) by Alyssa Wong and Andie Tong, White Fox finds herself being blamed for the Sorcerer's Supreme's shocking death. Editor Tom Groneman explained the new White Fox story will further explore Ami Han being the last Kumiho on Earth - and that additional killings in South Korea will lead to her being a prime suspect. In a world where Doctor Strange's death causes calamity across the Marvel Universe, White Fox will learn the death surrounding her somehow connects to her past. Check out the covers for the upcoming one-shot by Peach Momoko and R1c0.

Groneman told CBR the one-shot will dive deeper into White Fox's origins and feature both the Tiger Division and New Agents of Atlas - as well as a cameo from the Chinese hero Sword Master.

White Fox is one of Marvel's most intriguing new characters to debut in recent years and hasn't really had her backstory fully fleshed out. Hopefully, with Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1, readers learn more about Ami Han and the focus on the hero gives her the chance to appear in more titles in the future. Tying her backstory into the new event is a smart call and will likely lead to more people learning how intriguing White Fox really is. Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1 is in comic book stores in November.
