Turning Back Time

Dormammu's face as seen in Doctor Strange

In the first Doctor Strange movie, the Sorcerer Supreme demonstrates why he's the strongest MCU Avenger when he traps Dormammu in a time loop. Dormammu rules the Dark Dimension, a magical entity of unimaginable might and among Doctor Strange's most powerful villains in Marvel Comics.

Strange used the Eye of Agamotto, containing the Time Stone, to create an endless time loop. This trapped Dormammu in the loop with Strange and forced him to bargain, ending the threat to Earth.
