Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista shares a photo of his ceiling on social media, comparing it to the Sanctum Sanctorum in Doctor Strange. Bautista is slated to reprise his role as the fan-favorite Drax in the upcoming films, Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, Bautista recently disclosed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will wrap up his last performance as Drax.

After the astounding release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next anticipated adventure of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will come in his sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Directed by Sam Raimi, the second installment will follow the multiversal adventure of Stephen Strange, alongside Wong (Benedict Wong), Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), and Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor). The film will also introduce a new hero, America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez, best known for her abilities to open portals in any universe.

On Instagram, Bautista shared a photo of his architectural ceiling, comparing it to Doctor Strange’s window in the Sanctum Sanctorum. On the top of his photo collage, Doctor Strange is seen in front of the window, while holding a “Math Matters: Spidey Edition” book that was edited in the photo, referencing Spider-Man: No Way Home. Below the humorous photo, Bautista’s ceiling is shown with black trim walls bearing similarities to the iconic window. Check out the post below:

Originally designed by comic artist Steve Ditko, the Seal of the Vishanti in Doctor Strange, serves to protect the Sanctum Sanctorum from supernatural threats. The Seal of Vishanti that was displayed on the roof level of the residence, is also referred to as the “Window of the Worlds.” Perhaps, the upcoming film may explore the Seal of Vishanti deeper, by introducing the shielding powers that protect the Sanctorum from unwanted attacks. In the comics, Doctor Strange utilized the seal to fend off attacks after Mordo attempted to steal the Wand of Watoomb. The wand was actually shown in the first Doctor Strange film as Wong utilized the magical artifact to fight Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).

The iconic shape of the seal remains analogous in every rendition of the Sanctum Sanctorum throughout the Marvel comics and in the MCU franchise. Therefore, it comes as no surprise for Bautista to recognize the trademark and compare the uncanny resemblance with his ceiling. The answer to whether or not the Seal of Vishanti is explored more in the upcoming film will be revealed when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases in theaters on May 6, 2022.
