The resurrected hero turns out to be Sentry, who was brought back to life as the new God of Demons by the Blasphemy Cartel in their last attempt to take over the magical underworld of New York City. With Clea and Stephen Strange facing defeat, they decide to kiss, which dangerously combines their powers of life and death, creating a new combined form representing both heroes' roles in the Marvel Universe.
Doctor Strange's Ultimate Form Combines The Two Heroes
In the current Strange series from Marvel Comics, Clea Strange became the Sorcerer Supreme after the death of Doctor Strange. However, Stephen Strange wasn't permanently killed off. Instead, he became Death's Harvestman, responsible for taking down the revenants the Blasphemy Cartel resurrected. Due to his new role, the Harvestman and the Sorcerer Supreme couldn't touch, as doing so would risk annihilation for both characters, as the powers of life and death were too dangerous to be combined. However, with no choice left but to take down Sentry's darkest form, Clea and Stephen finally embrace, creating Doctor Strange's ultimate form.
The new combined cosmic form of Clea and Stephen Strange represents life and death, light and dark, and faltine and human - as the multi-armed and multi-eyed magical hero transforms the Sorcerer Supreme and the Harvestman into one incredible magical being. Doctor Strange's ultimate form is so powerful that it's described as the God of Demon's equal. It takes down Sentry and the Blasphemy Cartel with its incredible powers before splitting into Stephen and Clea again. Finally, as a result of taking down the revenants, Stephen Strange's deal with death is fulfilled and is returned to his usual form.
Seeing Clea and Stephen Strange become a combined being with the god-like powers of life and death represents the ultimate form for both heroes. Together, Clea and Doctor Strange proved stronger than Sentry's resurrected form, which is no small feat, as they briefly became one of the most powerful magical beings the Marvel Universe has ever conceived.
