To celebrate the release of Marvel's latest film, Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness, Microsoft is giving away a unique Xbox Series S console and four character-themed controllers. The current-gen Xbox consoles have been selling well since their launch in late 2020. At first, many gamers were unsure of Microsoft's decision to launch two consoles, the economic Xbox Series S and the more powerful Xbox Series X. Still, the decision has allowed many fans to purchase a current-gen Xbox Series S console without spending five hundred dollars on a new system.

Since the Xbox Series X|S launched in 2020, Microsoft has released more than a few exclusive themed consoles. While many Xbox fans were ecstatic to see a Halo Infinite Special Edition Xbox Series X, players were terrified of the furry Sonic-themed Xbox controllers released in conjunction with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in theaters. The company has also released a few exclusive Marvel-themed Xbox consoles for franchises like Shang-Chi and Guardians of the Galaxy, which both sported an impressive and sleek design.

Right before the May 6th release of Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, fans can enter to win an Xbox Series S and four controllers based on the movie and its characters. The contest was revealed on Xbox's website, and it details what it will take to win the multiverse-themed bundle. Microsoft announced that all fans need to do to enter is follow Xbox on Twitter and retweet the official sweepstakes tweet with the hashtag #DoctorStrangeXboxSweepstakes. According to the terms and conditions, those who wish to enter the contest can do so from April 29th to May 20th, though Xbox's tweet gives the ending date as the 18th instead.

The Doctor Strange-themed Xbox Series S features one of the film's monstrous enemies and a colorful design that perfectly fits the movie's abstract aesthetic. The four controllers that will also be awarded to the winner of the contest are equipped with designs for Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Wong (Benedict Wong), and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). It is unclear why the giveaway is offering an Xbox Series S instead of the more powerful Series X. Still, it's a safe bet to assume Marvel and Xbox fans will be excited to receive such a gift if they win.

Customizable consoles and controllers have been a long-going trend. Most of the exclusive themed consoles have an extremely limited stock produced. However, many third-party companies have taken advantage of this issue and made customizable Xbox and PlayStation wraps that allow players to dress their controllers and consoles in unique ways. Given the design work that's gone into it, though, whoever wins the Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness Xbox Series S likely won't have to invest in such a solution.
