With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness officially bringing on Sam Raimi as the director, fans have started to speculate as to which character his long term collaborator, Bruce Campbell will portray.

The actor has actually thrown his name into the hat, by asking whether there are any villains he could become. Here are 10 different Marvel villains that Bruce Campbell could be pretty perfect for!

Arcade

Arcade has been a thorn in the side of many heroes for a number of years. Much like the Grandmaster, he takes great pleasure in playing games with his prey. He often sets them up in dangerous competitions with one another.

This is the kind of obscure villain that would not only be perfect for this mystical sequel since Strange will be visiting the multiverse, but will also play into Campbell's known showmanship.

Jester

During Sam Raimi's trilogy based on the web-head, Campbell was being set up as Mysterio. He'd been seen in all three films in the background and the idea was to have him spying on Parker the whole time.

While the MCU's version of Mysterio has now been taken, there are a few other characters that are just as wacky and could play similar roles. The Jester is one of them; a Joker-esque rip-off, he could be an easy villain for Strange to beat in the opening.

Mephisto

Mephisto is pretty much the devil of the Marvel universe. The horror aspects of Campbell's past roles could come in handy here, as can his slick nature. He definitely has the acting chops to pull this off.

The character will likely surface very soon and needs to be a bit of a physical presence with Campbell can embody. It's an out of the box casting choice but one that would work.

Dario Agger

If Marvel is looking at Bruce Campbell for some kind of slick businessman type role, then Dario Agger could be the perfect fit. While the rumor mill seems to believe the character could be battling Thor portrayed by Christian Bale, this isn't confirmed.

In the comics, Agger has some magical qualities as he eventually turns into the Minotaur. This could be a completely different kind of beast that the master of the mystic arts will have to tame.

Nightmare

Speaking of a horror background, one of the villains pretty much confirmed for the sequel is Nightmare. The lord of the nightmare dimension is one of Marvel's darkest villains.

Bruce Campbell might be a completely unexpected casting choice for this character, but one that fans would be intrigued to see. The acting choices he would make here wouldn't parallel any other actor's take on the role.

Dracula

If there's one over the top villain that could do with Campbell's charisma then it has to be Dracula. The world's most famous vampire has spent many years as a villain in Marvel.

He's a character that could be facing off against Moon Knight in the future and would make a great side villain to Nightmare. Campbell has the perfect look for the role.

Doctor Doom

People often look to cast a new Doctor Doom as a lot younger, but Bruce Campbell might be a better fit. He'd be able to bring both the malice and yet the showmanship of this mad man.

It's not a traditional casting choice for the role, but this is a perfect way to introduce this character into the MCU for the very first time, now the rights have reverted back.

Mr. Misery

Mr. Misery appears as a shapeless black goo with a face that appears to be a blank mask with the features of a human face

Mr. Misery is a relatively new and dark character in the roster of Doctor Strange villains. It might be an interesting choice as a sidekick to Nightmare in the future.

Since he's a new villain there's a lot of directions that Raimi and Campbell could take the character in and it could, therefore, be the perfect part for him to collaborate on.

Imperator

The Imperator leads a group called the Empirikul, that have been hunting down Doctor Strange for some time. They are from a completely different universe, which is why the characters could come across one another.

Much like Mr. Misery, there's not much set in stone for this villain. While his look needs to be kept to and his horrific origin defines him to an extent, there's a lot of room to manoeuver for Campbell's acting choices.

Doc Magus

If the good Doctor is traveling across different versions of Earth, then it may be time to introduce MC2. In the comics, this is an alternate version of the Marvel Universe with a few notable differences.

Here, Doctor Strange has retired and a young man named Doc Magus is now the sorcerer supreme. Perhaps the film could introduce an older and bitter version of this character, played by Bruce Campbell, who can go up against his former mentor.
