Many people saw the impacts of the multiverse unleashing in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the plotline continues to culminate in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Of course, the teaser for the upcoming movie was the post-credit scene, and Marvel Studios has officially made it public.

A great deal is happening in the Marvel Universe, so it is only the beginning. The latest teaser hinted at the perils of the multiverse, but even the moments seen are cryptic to understand what is going on, which leaves some burning questions for die-hard MCU fans as well as casual moviegoers.

What Happened Between Doctor Strange & Dr. Christine Palmer?

Dr. Palmer is back, but fans were shocked to see her walking down the aisle and getting married. To exacerbate the situation, Doctor Strange is not the groom but one of the guests attending the wedding.

This is heartbreaking because Doctor Strange loved Christine, yet they are not together. Strange's responsibilities as a sorcerer likely prevented him from seeing Christine, considering viewers have not seen her since Doctor Strange, in which she had great screen time. However, the events of the Infinity War could have an impact since Doctor Strange had perished after the Snap. Perhaps, Dr. Palmer survived the Snap, and Strange's absence caused her to move on and fall in love with someone else.

How Does America Chavez Fit Into The Story?

The teaser shows America Chavez, which means she will make her formal introduction in MCU. However, she has not showcased her abilities in the teaser. She is seen with Doctor Strange exploring the remnants of the multiverse dimension or being caught up in a monster attack.

While America Chavez is in the movie, it is unclear how she will contribute to the story. Furthermore, the film would need to delve into her origin story, and the teaser has not hinted much of it either.

Could Loki Appear?

While Spider-Man: No Way Home showed the calamities of the multiverse, Loki addressed the concept of the multiverse and the real dangers of it unleashing. Since the movie's plot revolves around the multiverse, many fans speculate that characters from Loki could appear. This could be either Loki, Mobius, or He Who Remains.

Loki would have to somehow travel around the multiverse to reach Doctor Strange in the present timeline. Of course, the chances are questionable, but anything can happen, and anyone could appear, given the grand scale of the multiverse.

How Will Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch Help Doctor Strange?

Wanda levitates in a magic circle in Dr. Strange 2.

Marvel Studios had already confirmed that Wanda Maximoff is in the film, and the teaser showed a glimpse of her role. Aside from Doctor Strange, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful Avengers in the MCU, and the events of WandaVision showcased her great strength.

However, it is unclear how she will help Doctor Strange with his multiverse endeavors. Aside from their meeting, the only other scene with Wanda shows her meditating in an obscure place. Of course, Wanda might not help Strange at all and could set up for something more dangerous.

Who (Or What) Is Attacking Kamar-Taj?

A good portion of the teaser shows that Kamar-Taj is under attack. However, it does not show who or what is attacking them.

Later in the teaser, one moment shows a large, yellowish creature bringing havoc in New York City, so it could be the same threat attacking Kamar-Taj. However, it is only speculation, given how many villains appeared in the teaser.

So, Who Is The Main Villain?

The teaser showcased several potential villains in the movie. These include Dark Doctor Strange, the unknown yellow creature, and Karl Mordo. The latter is known to be one of the Sorcerer Supreme's greatest villains, and the first Doctor Strange seemed to set him up as a future antagonist for Cumberbatch's hero in future installments.

It is not clear who is the primary villain in the movie, although it appears that Mordo could be at the forefront of the mess occurring. The teaser remains ambiguous about the nature of the film aside from the multiverse.

Is Dark Doctor Strange The Same One From What If...?

One of the most shocking moments of the teaser was the appearance of Dark Doctor Strange. Of course, this is not the first time viewers were introduced to the dark and sinister variant.

The Disney+ series, What If...?, had introduced Strange Supreme, one of the most powerful variants, in its fourth episode, in which he created a disintegrating reality. Of course, part of what caused the event was the absolute point of Dr. Palmer's death that drove him to travel in time and save her but found no success. Fans wonder if this iteration would transition into the film and leaves wonders about the interaction between Doctor Strange and Dark Doctor Strange.

How Does This Effect Peter Parker?

The events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness occur directly after Spider-Man: No Way Home. In one of the most shocking moments in No Way Home, Spider-Man made a sacrifice that allowed Doctor Strange to cast a memory-erasure spell, which would cause everyone to forget Peter Parker.

Unfortunately, it seems that Peter's sacrifice was only a temporary solution and that the multiverse is still at large. It sucks because Peter's sacrifice shows little use, but it also raises many questions on how the subsequent events could impact him.

Could There Be More Variants Of Doctor Strange?

If Strange Supreme can show up, perhaps more variants of Doctor Strange could appear, too? The extent of the multiverse is not clear, but even He Who Remains explained that variants of the same person could all have different agendas.

Part of what makes this possible is that the teaser shows a brief moment of a sorcerer and the Cloak of Levitation falling out from the portal, which likely implies that the person is Doctor Strange. However, this person has a long ponytail, which could entail another variant, but this is another speculation that has yet to be confirmed.
