Aladdin meets Marvel's Doctor Strange in a hilarious piece of Disney-inspired fan art. Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Stephen Strange has spent the past year establishing his key role in the MCU's Phase 4, first playing a major role in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the film's formal introduction of the multiverse. Following the chaotic events of the Spidey threequel, Doctor Strange returned to theaters once again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which explored the multiverse concept further while also continuing to broaden the titular superhero's development as a character.

The Master of the Mystic Arts boasts an impressive array of powers alongside his spell-casting and ability to manipulate time. Strange also uses the Cloak of Levitation, which has since become one of the more recognizable parts of his costume. Its ability to harness its own power to levitate and fly through the air means it functions as Strange's de-facto ally, having stepped in on a handful of occasions to save the sorcerer, much like any noble sidekick would do.

Given the cloak's unique abilities, one fan has now drawn a hilarious comparison between Doctor Strange and Aladdin. Imagined by dragonartebr.official, the reworked magic carpet ride scene from Disney's animated film sees the two stumble across Doctor Strange as he, too, rides through the sky, with the Cloak of Levitation acting as his very own carpet. The art quickly received a lot of likes, with many fans sharing their praise for this humorous crossover. Check out the fun fan art below:

Aladdin is arguably one of Disney’s most beloved animated features, having been released in 1992 to critical acclaim. The film went on to win the 1993 Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song, having told the story of a young man who is granted three wishes after freeing a magical Genie from his lamp. The live-action Aladdin reboot movie released in 2019, and one character that made the jump was of course the Magic Carpet, which was brought to life using special effects not dissimilar to those behind Doctor Strange’s cloak.

This clever piece of fan art plays very much like a bizarre episode of Marvel's What if...?. Although Doctor Strange and Aladdin both belong under the Walt Disney Studios umbrella, this is a crossover that is not likely to come to fruition any time soon. While Strange is set to continue his journey within the MCU, it remains to be seen what's next for Cumberbatch's character. However, with this fun reimagining now in mind, it's certainly hilarious to imagine him embarking on his own "Magic Cloak" rides to blow off some steam, following the dramatic events of Doctor Strange 2.
