Disney may release another trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness during the upcoming 2022 Super Bowl Game. Directed by the creative mind behind the original Spider-man trilogy Sam Raimi, the sequel will dive deeper into the multiverse as part of Phase 4 in the MCU. Although the film had recently wrapped up its production, Raimi disclosed the possibility of more Doctor Strange 2 reshoots if necessary before the film’s release in May.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows the events after Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Benedict Cumberbatch returning as Doctor Stephen Strange. The film will accompany Doctor Strange’s journey to the unknown of the multiverse and alternate realities, as he teams up with Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). With the film tackling the multiverse, many fans are anticipating other high-profile MCU and celebrity cameos to appear in the film, though none of these have yet been confirmed.

According to Deadline, Disney may include a TV spot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness during the 2022 Super Bowl. Alongside the prospects of the Doctor Strange sequel, the Marvel/Disney+ series Moon Knight starring Oscar Isaac may also premiere a trailer during the game. Despite the report, however, it is still unconfirmed as to whether the studios will feature any trailers for their upcoming MCU projects at the game.

Over the years, Marvel Studios and Disney have released their trailers during the annual championship game of the National Football League. Previously, Disney unveiled the Black Widow trailer in 2020, and the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier last year, which drew over 30 million views on social media after its Super Bowl debut. Therefore, it is likely that Disney will feature one of their upcoming MCU endeavors during Sunday’s game. Alongside possible Marvel trailers, MCU stars like Eternals' Salma Hayek have been confirmed to be featured in a commercial for BMW during the annual game.

Since the release of the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many fans have been anticipating more glimpses at the film, after its bizarre and action-packed multiversal plot piqued plenty of curiosities — especially with the appearance of Evil Strange. And although the initial trailer revealed Scarlet Witch’s alliance with Doctor Strange, Olsen’s true role as Wanda in the sequel remains a mystery. Perhaps a Super Bowl TV spot may provide some answers for fans, and maybe even a first look at some of the rumored cameo appearances. However, judging by how the Marvel film has been kept tightly under wraps, the truth likely won't become entirely clear until Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases.
