The trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been lovingly recreated by a fan, LEGO-style, and the faithfulness of the end result is stunning. Set for a May 6 release, Multiverse of Madness will be the first entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Spider-Man: No Way Home, which introduced the idea of multiple parallel realities in the MCU and heavily featured Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange. While patient fans have come to expect post-credits scenes expanding the lore, sometimes pulled straight out of the next MCU movie, No Way Home's final post-credits stinger was a surprise reveal of the first full trailer for the highly-anticipated Cumberbatch sequel.

Though he hasn't had a solo film since 2015, Doctor Strange has kept busy in the MCU in the years since, having helped battle Thanos in both Avengers: Infinity War and then Endgame before his part in No Way Home. There are also rumors that Strange will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder. Strange plays a pivotal role in the latest Spider-Man installment, essentially serving as the catalyst that leads to universes colliding and three generations of Spider-Men coming together. Considering how integral Strange's character is to that movie, attaching a full trailer that continues the momentum and teases his further adventures was an obvious move. While most audiences were surprised and excited for the trailer drop, one particularly creative viewer was also inspired by it.

Earlier in the week, YouTube user Jekester uploaded a shot-for-shot recreation of the trailer, except that it was made with LEGO. Using the original trailer's audio and stop motion-style animation the creator put together a trailer cinematic and faithful enough that it looks like it could be from the Marvel Studios answer to The LEGO Batman Movie. The LEGO trailer is so accurate that it even has the same exact runtime as its live-action counterpart. Take a look at Jekester's LEGO trailer and then compare it to Marvel's official trailer below:

The talent, attention to detail, production value, and passion that clearly went into making the LEGO trailer is evident. Jekester even went so far as to make a similar title card to the now-iconic Marvel Studios logo seen at the start of every MCU film. But it seems that sort of dedication should be expected from Jekester's content at this point considering this was only the most recent addition to their "Trailer Recreations" series, which has been around since at least 2020. Other titles to have received the LEGO treatment from Jekester include Loki, The Batman, and, yes, Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Whether it's the actual physical sets or the multiple LEGO movies, it's always fun to see the toy brand partner with a beloved property like Doctor Strange. While this trailer remake is obviously unofficial, it's still a remarkable example of what can be accomplished with such a relatively basic medium. Considering that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a reported budget of close to $200 million, the fact that its trailer could be so deftly recreated in the rudimentary LEGO style is a feat.
