A new piece of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fan art imagines what actor Bruce Campbell would look like as the Marvel villain, Mister Sinister. The MCU sequel is now being directed by Sam Raimi, who took over the project following Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson's exit. This news, of course, prompted Raimi's frequent collaborator Campbell to chime in by suggesting that he play a villain in the movie.

Doctor Strange 2 will see Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as the Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Stephen Strange. He'll be joined by fellow MCU star, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, but in exactly what capacity is still unclear. Presumably, Wanda would be an ally of Strange's who is also capable of using magic, but then again, there's a chance she may actually be the villain of Doctor Strange 2. Marvel Comics has already set a precedent for Scarlet Witch going mad with grief and using her incredible powers to dangerously warp reality, and judging by how the upcoming Disney+ show, WandaVision, appears to have Wanda living in a fantasy world of her own creation, the MCU may be heading in a similar direction. It's possible, then, that Wanda is the "madness" Strange will meet in the multiverse, but if that's not the case and Doctor Strange 2 sees them team up against a common foe, then here's a pitch for which villain they could fight as played by Bruce Campbell.

This fan art comes to us from artist Bosslogic and it depicts half of Bruce Cambell's face as if he were playing Mister Sinister in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange 2. Per usual, the artwork is a fantastic interpretation of what Campbell as Mister Sinister would look like, retaining much of Campbell's own features and heightening them to match Sinister's unusual appearance. Take a look, below.

Raimi and Campbell have been friends long before either entered the business, and in fact, it was a movie they worked on together, 1981's The Evil Dead, that launched their careers. Together, they'd make two more Evil Dead movies to complete the trilogy. Ten years later, Raimi would direct Sony's first Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire, and in all three of those films, Campbell had a cameo role. Surely, the actor can hope for at least the same in Doctor Strange 2.

However, this artwork is making a strong argument for Bruce Campbell to play a live action version of Mister Sinister. In the comics, Mister Sinister is frequently a nemesis of the X-Men, but the MCU doesn't always strictly adhere to what's happened previously in the comics. Or they could introduce the X-Men via Doctor Strange 2, they can pretty much do whatever they want now. In which case, the genetically-super powered and long-lived supervillain with a flair for the dramatic could be a great role for Campbell to play, no matter if it's just a cameo or not.
