Warning: contains spoilers for Heroes Reborn #1!

As the Marvel Universe changes into a world never seen before, Doctor Doom is about to get an upgrade that will make him the universe's Juggernaut, getting the name Doctor Juggernaut. In the upcoming Heroes Reborn event, everything readers know about the Marvel world will be rewritten, leading to new groups of heroes and villains whose origins and roles are dramatically changed.

Heroes Reborn is a new spin on an older Marvel Comics event of the same name. While the original event made changes to heroes in an effort to modernize them to the current audience, the new one will feature a new universe where things are much different. Heroes Reborn will feature a world where the Avengers never formed, with Thor becoming a hard-drinking Athiest, Black Widow working alongside Baron Zemo as a villain, and Iron Man never needing to create the Iron Man armor. The Squadron Supreme will be Earth's greatest heroes, as Marvel is playing up the pastiches of the DC Universe.

In a new preview for Heroes Reborn #1 by Jason Aaron, Ed McGuinness, Matthew Wilson, and Cory Petit, Blade recalls waking up in a world without the Avengers, as he's the only one who remembered the previous universe. He seeks out Robbie Reyes, but the Ghost Rider (who rides a bike and seemingly doesn't have any powers to speak of) of his world rejects him. While Blade seeks out answers, the rise of a new villain, Doctor Juggernaut, occurs.

Doctor Doom invades the White House and lets the armed guards know they've been invaded by the Latverian Liberation Army. In this universe, Latveria was taken away from Doom, so he to take away their homeland in an act of revenge. This version of Doom is armed with the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, the artifact which gives Juggernaut his strength and powers. He uses the gem to become Doctor Juggernaut, a Doom/Juggernaut hybrid. He attacks the White House but is met by Hyperion, who leads the Squadron Supreme in place of the Avengers.

Heroes Reborn Juggernaut vs Hyperion

Doctor Juggernaut against Hyperion is a fight featuring a ton of pure strength, as the two are seen exchanging blows as the preview ends. Doctor Doom's powers as Doctor Juggernaut are unknown, but assuming his abilities are a combination of the two powerful characters, than he might be the strongest villain in the universe - although, the Infinity Ring-wielding Thanos might have something to say about that. Doctor Juggernaut will debut in Marvel's Heroes Reborn #1, which is in comic shops on Wednesday.
