Dungeons & Dragons has no shortage of unique magical objects that can be used to inject fun or chaos into a campaign. From powerful clothing items to magical tattoos, the possibilities are endless, and many of the game's magical items have much more depth and potential to them than their name might imply. One of the biggest examples of this is a Bag of Beans, which is a perfect way for DMs to add a new dimension to their adventure.

From incredibly powerful objects to DnD magic items that ruin a player's day, there's a nearly infinite list of things that can massively affect a party once they come into their possession. After finishing a big quest or defeating a big bad in Dungeons & Dragons, sometimes it can be hard to know what a party should do next - a problem that can be remedied with the right magical item. This is why any Dungeons & Dragons party should try adding a Bag of Beans to their game.

A Bag of Beans Is Perfect For Any D&D Party

A Bag of Beans may sound like an innocuous item, but it's actually one of the objects with the most varied potential in Dungeons & Dragons. Once acquired, players can choose to dump them all out at once, which will cause a large explosion. However, if a player plants an individual bean, the final product will be chosen by either a d100 roll or the DM's imagination. They're a great way to make DnD downtime more interesting, as the beans can transform simple gardening into anything from a sentient statue to magical eggs.

A Bag Of Beans Can Start A New D&D Adventure

A Bag of Beans offers endless possibilities for new Dungeons & Dragons storylines, especially since a DM can choose to make up their own result or choose those indicated by the d100 chart. As well as using imagination, there are plenty of interesting ideas with adventure potential presented by the chart; for example, a roll of 91 to 99 will make an entire pyramid spring up that a party can explore, complete with a mummy lord to defeat and treasure to find. Similarly, a roll of 00 will sprout a giant beanstalk, the perfect way to bring characters into a brand-new journey, as the DM decides where the beanstalk leads.

Of course, there are many ways to spice up a campaign, from experimenting with the best DnD multiclass combos for 5e to bringing in a new big bad. However, a Bag of Beans is a great way of injecting magical chaos into any campaign, with the potential to take players to new locales, give them powerful short-term boosts, or even harm them. While it especially fits in with characters like Druids based on their affinity with nature and growing things, a Bag of Beans is a wonderfully fun addition to any Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
