Specializations in Division 2 are at the core of every great build and the Technician Specialization is one that can be heavily impactful when skills are concerned. The main tenant of this specialization is the ability to maximize skills by raising their damage, healing, cooldown speed, and more. This Specialization is highly geared towards skills although there are benefits for straight gunplay that can be effective as well such as the Linked Laser Pointer for a mini pulse on one enemy.

It might not be as effective as other Specializations when it comes to the firearms aspect although it has some nice emergency backup features when skills are on cooldown. In speaking about how the set is geared towards skills, some notable points to spec into are Amped, which gives +1 to a player's skill tier, and Overclocked CPU that causes an extra 10% skill damage.  There are plenty of great features to this Specialization so let's get to unlocking it.

Technician Specialization Stages in Division 2

Stage 1 Objectives:

Donate 50 materials to any Control Point, Use a shotgun to kill 20 enemies, Complete activities in the world map

This stage is an easy way into the unlocking process and its one that can be quickly done by finding any activities on the world map and completing them. To get these objectives done rather quickly is to find two activities linked to a Control Point, complete them, and then go for the Control Point which should be a level 3 at this point. Do the activities and the Control Point with a shotgun, get the 20 kills required and once the Control Point is liberated, do the 50 donations required to complete the objectives.

Stage 2 Objectives:

DCD Headquarters holds "The Blade" who needs to be killed after her lawnmower gets destroyed first and must be done in Normal or higher, use a grenade to kill 2 enemies 3 times, Kill 3 Controllers from any faction, On Normal or higher complete Roosevelt Island and it must be non-invaded.

A few of the objectives can be tackled at the same time which makes this stage a bit harder than the first, due to more objectives to do, although it's still relatively low on the scale of difficulty. First, head to DCD and to make things quick, Normal is perfectly fine to do. The best bet on doing the grenade objective is to enter rooms where the enemies don't know you've arrived yet and launch a grenade to get a two for one. It will be harder to do when they're all scattered after they've discovered you and here's a good opportunity to also get a Controller as well as they are one of the enemy types for the Outcasts. To recognize the Controllers, they will have the wrench icon next to their health bars. As for "The Blade" at the end of the mission, defeat her last as this will give a chance for her to spawn her lawnmower. The moment it comes out, blow it up and then take her out. Roosevelt is last and this is a chance that if getting the grenade kills was a difficult time, then this is another opportunity to do so. Aim for red bars and this should get this objective done in no time.

Stage 3 Objectives:

"Brooks" in District Union Arena needs to have his turret destroyed before getting killed on Normal or higher, get a headshot kill on 3 elite enemies, kill enemies from an elevated position, complete Capitol Building on Normal or higher when it's non-invaded.

There are not many elevated positions in District Union Arena but there's a great one when you start Capital Building. There's a bridge at the beginning of the level that a player can set up a perch and snipe enemies from an elevated position. Instead of doing it on Normal, do it on Challenging and get some elites right off the bat and take them out to get a 2-for-1. At this point since the mission is newly started, unless Challenging or higher is what a player is used to, there's no harm in restarting the mission in Normal to make the progress of unlocking the Specialization much faster. "Brooks" in District Union Area is going to be much like "The Blade", wait for him to put out his turret, blow it away and then crush him.

Stage 4 Objectives:

Head to Manning National Zoo on Normal or higher and kill "The Raven" but destroy his ammo pack first, Destroy 5 cars and/or drones, Use a pulse on 3 Black Tusk Mini Tanks and then blow then up, Head to the shooting range and hit 6 different targets in less than 10 seconds, Finish District Union Arena on Normal or higher with the mission being non-invaded.

The easiest objective in this stage is hitting the 6 targets which can be done in safety in the Base of Operations in Washington DC. Drop the health of 6 targets to a point where a few shots will drop them, use an LMG and go to town.  "The Raven" will be in the same vein as "The Blade" and "Brooks" from previous objectives. Using the Chem Launcher's Riot Foam ability will help to keep the boss in place to get his pack destroyed. Doing District Union Arena on Normal will have lots of trucks that as long as the Controller doesn't get touched will continue spawning making for easy kills. As for the mini tanks, find any invaded mission and mini tanks will be present. To make life easy, destroy one and then die. Respawn and the tank will be at the same place. Do this a few times and stage 4 will be done.

Stage 5 Objectives:

Destroy the backpacks of both "Captain Kendra Nelson" and "Private Jeremiah Ramos" on Normal or higher in Capitol Building and Lincoln Memorial respectively, Take out 3 Warhounds from Black Tusk, While a hive is deployed do a salute, complete a stronghold on Hard or higher while it's invaded.

This is the toughest of the stages as there's a lot of grinding that needs to be done. The first two objectives will have to be run in a non-invaded style. The Chem Launcher Riot Foam will be another go-to for the two bosses. The Warhounds can be quickly dispatched while doing the invaded stronghold mission as well. The hive salute can be done fairly quickly by putting any hive and then saluting it with the salute emote. This stage might not be complicated but it's long and drawn out so take the time to level up the SHD watch at the same time.
