Operation Iron Horse has a lot to accomplish in Division 2, and that includes not only bosses, and backpack trophies, but also keys. Each key gets players one step closer to getting the epic drop called The Ravenous that can be gotten from the chest at the end of the mission. It takes five keys to open the chest which is the same amount of keys that it took players to open the chest in Operation Dark Hours.
Compared to the previous raid, these keys are challenging to get with timed areas, switches to flip, and fuses to get. They are all attainable, but players need to be on point to get them, and doing the raid will sharpen those skills. It's highly advisable that when going through the raid to not push anything before reading the instructions below because doing something as simple as opening a door or moving to another area will make the keys unattainable until the next run.
All Iron Horse Key Locations in Division 2
- Key #1 - After the fight with Lieutenant Gray, continue by moving the train using the fuses on the generators. After the train moves, the team can move to the next area to a closed door. Don't open the door, instead, open the wifi box, and that turns the power on for the area with Lieutenant Gray. There are four wifi boxes, and one of them has a fuse. Grab the fuse, and be sure to have players ready with a concussion grenade they'll throw inside the grate that opens above the window. The grate opens the moment the fuse gets set in the generator. Throw it inside the blue shipping container that houses the key, and collect it from the other side.
- Key #2 - After dispatching Fieser, two grates will be on either side of a console with a timer. Split teams in two, with the right team killing NPCs, and destroying the boxes on the opposite side to open the gate for the left team. They kill the tank that gives a key to open the next gate. This event runs on a quick timer, and it has to be completed very quickly.
- Key #3 - This key takes a two-step process to get. After getting the second key, the next area where players can drop down, there will be a pipe on the top left and another on the top right that needs to be obliterated. After turning the wheel, the big metal door opens, and the team has to rush to the two pipes. While rushing there, there will be snipers on the top middle area, and they need to be suppressed and not killed, killing them will ruin the chances of getting the third key. To destroy the pipes, directly opposite of the pipes will have NPCs with RPGs that can be killed, and the RPGs can be used on the pipes to destroy them quickly. Once destroyed, both teams need to have to players climb the ladders, and there will be two wheels on each side. All four wheels need to rotate at the same time. When they get turned, the snipers get killed, and they hold a key needed for the next part to get the third key. In the next section, three power boxes need to be destroyed. The first box is located where this event starts which is on the top level immediately from the start of the area on the right side. To the right of the yellow computer console, there will be a window on the opposite wall, and inside will have the power box. The second box is located on the ground level to the right behind a blue container. To find it, look a small wood fence about waist high, and the container is inside. The last box is found at the far end of the area by shooting the rope to drop it. Climb the cable and look for a giant pipe rounding downwards on the left roof. The power box will be at the bottom of the pipe concealed behind it. To start the event, Put the key gotten from the snipers in the yellow console, and all three boxes will open allowing them to be shot. Once all three explode, head to the door that had the three red lights on it, which should now be green, and collect the third key. The big thing to note for this key is that when shooting the three boxes, the shots must be done as soon as the boxes are available to be seen. If they're not shot, they will be blocked off one or two seconds after the button is pushed, and it has to be almost instant.
- Key #4 - To get this one, after killing Williams, in the long area on the way to the boss, builds with high hazard protection numbers are necessary to avoid all the traps along the way. Run up the stairs after opening the gate, and players have to be quick to run to the end where there will be a drop-down area they need to get to. Once players drop down, run to the opposite side to a metal power generator, and there will be two levers. Flip the handles at the same time, and that will deactivate the electricity that allows players to move to the next area. Go to the top level, up the stairs, and open the door. After opening the door, there will be a pull lever to activate that opens a gate on the bottom level to get the fourth key.
- Key #5 - The fifth key is a lot easier than the previous ones, where the key drops from Morozova. It's possible in the future it will change, but as of this writing is a guaranteed drop.
